I woke up with a gasp. Bright burning sunlight hit my eyes as I squinted trying to adjust to the light. I was lying in an unfamiliar bed in a room with white walls and white ceilings. The memories came flooding in at once. Me, Gideon, Kael, Rosalie and Blake. We all went for a run. We played games, spent the night in our tents. Gideon had confessed to me. We’d given in to our feelings, consummated our marriage and suddenly, we were attacked. Arrows had shot through everywhere. Then me and Gideon cut ourselves, drawing blood to fake our deaths.
