Prelude
Chris scooped Ellie up in a bridal hold and walked her through the tunnel of bubbles, past the smiling faces of so many family and friends, and into the waiting white limo. She giggled the entire time, more than ready for their happily ever after to begin as soon as possible.
Ellie couldn't believe the wedding was already over. The year she and Chris dated seemed like a lifetime ago, the 8 months of their engagement flew by, and the wedding festivities were a whirlwind. She looked at her reflection in the limo window. She blond hair was still pulled into the perfect up-do accentuating her long slender neck. Although, her bright lipstick had worn off after a night of drinking and eating, her lips still held the natural rosy pink tinge of color. Her eyelashes- long and dark- framed her ice blue eyes and made her look more awake than her tired body felt. She could see the excitement and contentment reflected back as she stared at her reflection. Most of her wedding makeup had come off by now, but her natural beauty was only that much easier to see. She noticed the flush in her checks and knew that the night was far from over for her.
As the limo pulled up to the hotel, Chris leaned over and flashed his warm smile. Ellie wrapped her arm around his and leaned into his neck inhaling his scent. He leaned across her body, opened the door, and whispered "After you, Sweetheart"
They slowly made their way into the hotel, their home for the night- although they did not anticipate their would be much sleeping. Chris led her to the elevator and pushed the button for the top floor. Ellie wasn't sure if it was the man standing next to her or the racing elevator car, but her stomach was filled with butterflies. She took the moment to really study her new husband. His sandy blond hair, his hazel eyes that sparkled with every emotion, his thin pink lips, and his muscular shoulders and arm. She was a sucker for those shoulders and arms.
The elevator doors opened, breaking her from her trance, and she allowed Chris to lead her to the hotel door. Her stomach still held the butterflies as she stepped into the room. Chris closed the door behind her. She admire the rose petals placed all over the top of the crisp white bed. She looked forward to the bottle of champagne that was chilled on the bedside table. Her mind wondered to the white, lace lingerie that she picked specifically for this occasion. She wanted to see the unguarded lust and need in Chris' face when he stripped her out of her wedding dress.
Ellie excused herself to the bathroom to freshen up. When she was ready, she grabbed the door handle, stepped out into the bedroom, and their happily ever after began.
