*** One month later: "You nervous?"
I looked at Hailey and nodded. "Very."
"I know your scared about having the baby too, but this is the most important day of your life. You are finally making Damon your husband officially."
"God, it barely feels like it."
"This will get your mind off of your pregnancy. For the time being anyways."
"I'm hoping."
"Jalissa, you look beautiful."
I saw my father in the mirror and turned around. "Dad? Y-you chose to come?"
"Look, I know how things went down. Hell, I was a prick to you and I can't apologize enough. But you are my daughter and this is the most special day in your life. I had to be here."
"You had to? Did mom make you come?"
"No. I did some thorough thinking about everything. I am sorry for how I treated you. I hurt you and your mom. It unfortunately is something that cannot be fixed, but now that your mother and I are back together, I want to make things work."
I nodded. "I'll give you a chance."
My father smiled. "Good. Are you ready?"
I took a deep breath. "Yeah."
"Keep your head up, girl." Hailey smiled. "Good luck!"
Nodding, I stood up and grabbed my father's arm. "I know you're nervous, Jalissa. But you can do this."
"Thank you."
My heart was racing the moment I laid my eyes on Damon. He looked so incredibly handsome in a suit and tie and I could tell by his facial expression that he feels the same way. My father let go of my arm and kissed my cheek. "I love you."
"I love you too."
Damon smiled at me. "You look stunning."
"You too."
After all of the vows were exchanged, there were only a few more things to say: "Do you, Jalissa Sampsell take Damon Grimes as your husband?"
"I do."
"And do you, Damon Grimes take Jalissa Sampsell as your wife?"
"I do."
"You can now kiss your bride."
Damon smirked and kissed me with passion. "Mr. and Mrs. Grimes everyone."
At the reception, my mother approached me and smiled. "I'm so happy for you."
"Thanks mom. So, things with you and dad are good?"
My mother smiled when she raised her hand, showing her old wedding band on her finger. "We are."
"I'm so happy, mom."
She looked at Damon and gave him a quick hug. "I know how things ended, but I'm happy for you. Just take care of Jalissa for me."
"Of course, Kara."
"Jalissa!"
I saw Hailey and Mike and hugged her. "Hi."
"Congrats Mrs. Grimes!"
I laughed. "Thank you. Now, you and Mike are next."
Mike smirked. "I plan on it. As a matter of fact, I'd love to start the speech."
Hailey kissed him. "Go."
He grabbed the mic that was on the table and turned it on. "Excuse me everyone." The room went completely silent and everyone sat down. "I would like to start a speech. So, I know Jalissa and I used to date but she's like a best friend now and knowing that she's happy, that's great. I could not be happier for these two."
Jalissa smiled. "Thanks Mike."
"I have another message. Hailey, will you come up here?"
Hailey approached him and raised her eyebrows. "I know we haven't been together for very long, but you're beautiful and I can't imagine life without you so..." He grabbed a small box out of his jacket and got down on one knee.
"Oh my god."
"Hailey... Will you marry me?"
"Yes! Oh my god, yes!"
She threw her arms around Mike and kissed him before he slid the ring on her finger. "So, that's all folks."
Everyone clapped and Hailey ran over to Jalissa. "Did you plan this?"
Jalissa smirked. "Maybe."
"Yes. She did." Damon said as he slid his arm around her shoulder.
"I love you!"
"I know how much you love Mike, and you two are a cute couple. You both deserve happiness and I thought this would be the best time to do so."
"Thank you so much!"
