It happened to be a very special day for the whole pack to crown their alpha. A new existing leader to lead werewolves.
Before the crowning, the said to be crowned alpha will be going to enter the dark wood where every supernatural creature can be seen and can be hunt to death.
Simon Escobar, the up coming alpha was challenge to enter the dark woods for a hunt. The hunting would proved the power of a werewolf to become the next alpha of the pack.
Before the New moon started, that night, Simon began to enter the dark wood all by himself. Upon entering, the dark aura of the wood welcomed him; cracking sounds of dried branches on the ground as he step on it and the sound of hawk flying and making it's sound.
While walking, Simon sense a presence not far from where he is.
"Vampire", he guess in a whisper.
Simon started to change his figure from a man to wolf; a big dark wolf.
He hide behind the big branches, readying his self to ambush the coming enemy.
As soon as he saw the target, he jump on the vampire and stretch his right front feet emphasizing his claw. At that point, he scratched his claws on the vampires chest.
" Argh" , the vampire groaned. And as if on cue, the vampire distance himself avoiding another attack coming from Simon
Simon landed on the ground and face the enemy.
"Look what we have here", the vampire still said despite of his damage on his chest.
Simon look at the vampire with fierce. And as if on cue, the two run to each other to attack.
On air, the vampire punches Simon's left front foot but Simon don't let himself to be beaten so he grab the vampire's shoulders causing Simon to end up on the top of the vampire.
"Your kind will never beat me to death", Simon said surely.
Simon stretch up his right front foot to claw the vampire's heart out of his body, but before he could do that, the vampire push his fangs on Simon's left front foot. That pains Simon but it didn't stop him to grab the vampires heart. And as the heart of the vampire disconnected to his body, his body turned to ashes but leaving his heart continuously splashing blood out from it.
Simon turn his body into its human form while still holding the vampire's heart who is still pumping. He place it on his pocket to bring home as a present to the whole pack.
After the encounter with the vampire, Simon had a fight again with different creatures on the dark wood. In each and every enemy he killed: he always slice souvenirs from its body parts to present to his pack. He finished around 30 creatures before he decided to go back to the entrance of the dark woods where the whole pack is waiting.
He began again to walk back to where he entered. While walking, he felt that his body was decreasing off energy, he began to breath heavily.
Outside the dark woods are the whole pack waiting for Simon to comeback and present his kills.
And there, Simon appeared in front of the entrance weighing different part of bodies on his back as Simon's body is covered with different scents of blood from his opponent.
The whole pack howl with approval.
The eldest of the werewolves walk near him.
The elder point his finger on the blood dripping on Simon's body and then draw a circle on Simon's forehead as a sign of being the Alpha.
"To our new alpha!", The elder declared and the whole pack repeat it
" To our new alpha"
Then Simon saw how the moon turned to new. Simon turn himself to a big dark wolf and howl loud as a sign of authority to his pack.
That night of new moon, while everybody is celebrating about the new alpha, Simon was on the side of the cliff while enduring the pain coming from his wrist.
"Argh!!" He screamed then suddenly his vision turn to blurr and lost his consciousness.
The alpha was lying lifeless on the side of the cliff. But then suddenly, his body got up and his eyes turned to red. Instead of craving of meat, he started to crave blood as his fangs grow longer and felt the thirst of blood even more.
