Chapter 03

( Alpha Cadence)

“Alpha, I got all the files and information you asked for”

I had heard his footsteps from outside before he walked into my study. Sebastian's voice snapped me out of my trance because my thoughts had earlier been occupied with the lady from last night.

Who the hell was she?

No lady ever made me feel that way, and I never picked interest in any lady before meaning she was the first. She was so hot, so brave not to be afraid of me and of course I couldn't forget the best part.

She was excellent in bed.

I huffed out the smokes through my nose and rose to my feet after pulling out the first two buttons of my shirt,

Sebastian handed me the files and I placed it on my table,

“Her name is Aileen Smith. She's the adopted daughter of Mr and Mrs Smith and she's engaged to Alpha Liam Medici to be married in three days. Alpha, it's Alpha Liam we're talking about here. I don't think you should get involved with someone like him. He's no good.”

I chuckled out loud, opening the files which included photos of Aileen and everything Sebastian had just said,

She was one pretty lady and I still didn't understand why my mind was still filled with thoughts of her after that night.

Was this her specialty? Trapping people's minds with thoughts of her,

“I’m afraid I can't stay out of this, Sebastian. Four years ago, I got involved with the Medici family and I'm going to do that again.” I responded, and dusted the ashes off the cigarette in my hand before placing the tip in my lip.

“What about the party, it's tomorrow. Are you going to be changing your mind?” Sebastian questioned.

I walked over to the arm chair and took my seat again,

“Make sure everything's ready, Sebastian. I should honor Alpha Liam's invitation and pay him a visit.”

Sebastian nodded his head and walked out of my study room while I remained seated with the files close to me,

“Aileen Smith.” I repeated her name as I put out the cigarette and dropped it on the table. Every part of me wanted to have another taste of her, but I had to be sure she wasn't some sort of spy from Liam.

If she is, then I would definitely not hesitate putting a bullet in her forehead the very minute I lay eyes on her again,

I knew Liam Medici had a problem with me, but under the pretense that we were allies. Funny enough, I knew most of his deep darkest secrets and he had no idea just how much I knew about him.

I tucked my hand into my pocket and brought out my phone to dial a number,

As soon as the call was answered, I placed the call on loud speaker and lighted another stick of cigar,

“Sebastian, I need all the past information that we've got on Liam Medici. Get it ready before tomorrow.” I said and ended the call.

(Aileen POV)

“Get your filthy hands off me, Liam!” I yelled and pushed Liam aside when he tried to kiss my neck

I was disgusted at the sight of this man because even though I wanted to hate him deep down to my bones, there was still a little trace of love somewhere in me and I hated myself so much for that.

But, I still understand what pride was and I wasn't going to let him touch me,

“I told you let's end this f*****g marriage already. I want out, Liam. I'm done and over with you.” I yelled at him, but he grabbed my arm and I was fast to free my hand from his grip without hurting myself,

“The wedding would not be canceled until I say so, Aileen and I say you're mine. How can I leave my precious little wolf? You have no idea what you mean to me, Aileen. It's you I love and not Jessica.”

I scoffed aloud,

“Are you even listening to yourself?’

“I was just using her to get my mind off the news of your infidelity, that's all.”

I desperately wanted to slap the hell out of this bastard, but I was scared of doing that. No matter what, I had to remember that Liam was the Alpha and I could get punished anytime since I wasn't his Luna.

“Don't tell me you don't like it too, Aileen. Choosing you over your sister even after finding out you wouldn't be able to bear me an heir. That's how much I love you.”

I swallowed a lump of saliva,

“So what next after I get married to you, Liam? Are we going to go for an adoption? I'm sure the pack would get furious at that decision. There's no damn way you’d be able to keep this news away forever so if you truly love me then let your family know.”

What I didn't expect was for Liam to pull my hair and I winced in pain,

He let go of me almost immediately but before then I had seen the eyes of the devil in him. Liam had never been this aggressive towards me before,

“That’s why I have a plan B. Jessica would become my mistress and since she's fertile, she'll take the job of bearing me pups in secret. Don't worry, Aileen, you'll become their mother and we'll raise them together. It changes nothing.”

Fuck! What sort of man was this? I really couldn't believe my ears,

“Over my dead body.” I spat directly at his face and was about the turn to walk away, but he grabbed me and slammed my body against the wall,

I shut my eyes and began crying out loud in pain when he forcefully began tracing soft kisses around my neck and all over my face,

“Do you know how f*****g obsessed I am with you,Aileen? You promised you'd never leave me.”

“Let go, please, let go of me.” I begged with so much fear in my voice. I never knew underneath that sweet man I dated, there was a devil. In fact, calling Liam a devil was an insult to the devil himself. Tears rolled down my eyes uncontrollably when he pulled out my left boobs and began sucking the nub of my breast while I tried so hard not to moan out loud,

“Liam please…” I begged,

“You're going to marry me, Aileen, else I'll make your life and that of your family miserable, understood?”

I nodded my head just so he would let me go. I had to thank my stars when a knock was rasped on the door and he let go of me,

“You’re going to be sleeping in the mansion tonight. Tomorrow's an important day and I don't want anything to ruin it, baby.”

He kissed my lips, and smiled at me. I shut my eyes as he tucked some strands of my hairs away behind my ear, and I heard him whisper,

“I'm so sorry, baby. I would never do anything to hurt you, so please don't make me change that.”

He let go of me and adjusted his shirt properly. I watched as he began to walk out of the room and once he was gone, I broke down in tears.

I had to marry him

I brought this upon myself when I didn't listen to that older woman’s warnings four years ago and chose to love Liam.

I had to marry Liam else he would destroy everybody I knew.
