1475 Words
Kylie woke up late on Friday. She slept late last night because she was busy online. She ran into the school and saw that class has started already. She sighed deeply and shot the door open. "So, the denomination of..." The teacher stopped when he saw Kylie by the door. Everyone gazed at Kylie and tried not to laugh. "No one gets late in my class. Since you are new, I'll forgive you" "Thank you" she whispered and went to her seat. She slowly pressed her butt against the chair and brought out her maths notebook. Lily was present in class, she winked at Kylie and focused on the board. Kylie stared at Jackson who was sitting beside her sketching. She frowned because he wasn't concentrated in the class. Her gaze met with Madison who kept on giving her a killer look. Kylie rolled her eyes and stared at the equations on the board. "Jackson, what's the answer of the second equation?" The teacher asked. Kylie raised her head and stared at him. He hasn't been concentrating, how on Earth would he get the answer right. "Seven" he said without looking at the board. The teacher frowned and checked the textbook. "Seven. Correct" The class cheered. Kylie wondered if he used magic. "Madison, the third equation. What's the answer?" Madison swallowed hard. She hated maths. "Umm, it's.. thirty.. five" she stammered. "Wrong! Kylie." Everyone gazed at Kylie because she's still the new girl. "Umm, it's fourty five" she answered. "Correct. Take the rest as an assignment and submit on Monday. Good bye class" the teacher left the class. Lily drew her chair closer to Kylie. "You really need to teach me maths. I suck at maths" "Me too" Cindy said walking towards her. Kylie smiled and lowered her gaze. "You just have to study harder" she replied and closed her maths note. . Madison walked towards Jackson and stood in front of him. "You knew the answer. Why did you tell me?" "I was. You didn't listen to my mind" he replied still sketching. Madison scoffed and sat opposite him. "I just hate her" she said staring at Kylie as everyone sat close to her. "Not my problem" he replied. "I don't want her to steal you away from me" she groaned. "Madison... I'm not yours so stop all that okay?" He almost yelled. Everyone stared at Madison. She watched as Jackson left the class with his bag. Kylie shook her head as she saw the look on Madison's face. She angrily hit the table with her left hand and went back to her seat. Her friends suddenly entered into the class. "It's time to practice!" "Sure let's go, this class sucks" she grumbled and left. Kylie flung her hair to the back and leaned back on her chair answering questions from her classmates. "So, you grew up in the outskirts of the city? How was it?" "It was.. boring" she replied. They laughed at her reply. "That place was crap. I miss my granny a lot but my school mates were like bunch of idiots" They all laughed. "Kylie is so funny!!" They all murmured. . Kylie walked with Cindy and Lily to the table with their tray in their hands. "Hey Kylie. Come seat with us!" "Next time guys" Kylie smiled and sat with Cindy and Lily. "You just became popular in class in just one day" Cindy said smiling at Kylie. Kylie smiled and took a huge bite out of her apple. Suddenly, Madison walked into the school Cafe and walked towards Kylie. "Hey jerk" she called out. Kylie raised her head and stared at Madison. "I'm not a jerk Madison" she replied and stood up. "I'm just here to warn you to stay away from Jackson. He is mine!" "But she didn't do anything with him" "Shut up Lily. I didn't ask for your opinion butthead! And as for you boyfriend snatcher, stay away from Jackson!" Everyone in the cafe was silent busy staring at the scene. Kylie picked her apple and took another bite and stared at Madison. "Fine. I'll stay away from him. Just make sure you hold him tight" Cindy frowned and pulled her out of the Cafe. She pulled her to the hall and dragged her. "What is your problem Madison? Kylie doesn't have anything to do with him. Can't you listen to her mind?" Cindy yelled softly. Madison stared at Cindy panting hard. "I don't want to.. I hate her since the very day u set my eyes on her and trust me, if she doesn't stay away from Jackson. I'll kill her and no one will do anything about it" Madison replied. "Whatever thing you have for her, I don't care. Just let her be and yes, don't forget there's a meeting tomorrow" Cindy said and left" "Whatever!" Madison grumbled under her breath. She knew what they want to talk about. The same thing she's been hearing every generation. The same thing she's been hearing since 632 years ago. . "Come on Kylie. I can drop you off at your house. I have a car" Lily said to Kylie. "See you girls on Monday!" Cindy hugged them and followed her brother. "Sure bye!" Kylie said and faced Lily. "Don't worry Lily. Next time, you can spend the night at my house that day" Lily eyes s**t wide open. "Really?! It would be a girl's night. Sure! Bye!" She said and left. Kylie smiled and walked home. . Kylie spent Saturday at home doing her assignments and project. She didn't want to get punished. Sarah assisted her in any way she could. She brought milk and cookies for her. . Jackson ran down the stairs and grabbed his bag. "Let's go already" he said to his family. They went out into the car and drove into the woods. There, they met other vampires who have been waiting for them. "We've been waiting for you" the head, Bob said to them as they walked out of their car. "What can we say? We living in the humans world need to do things secretly and it takes a lot of time for us to get out of the city" Dylan replied to Bob. "Hey Bob" Jackson greeted and walked pass him into the big iron gate. "Fine, let's go in already" Bob said stretching his hands into the huge dark mansion. Cindy didn't want to come here at all but she just had to. "I thought we had to hang out with the gang" Cindy whispered to her brother. "Yeah, but this came up and now, everyone has to come here" he whispered in reply. "Tch.." she rolled her eyes as she threw the big door open. . . "Attention everyone!! It's time. Since there's no one left, we will start the meeting" Bob said trying to get everyone's attention. "Hey dude!!" Chris came to shake hands with Jackson. "Xup Chris" he replied without looking at him. "I'm cool. I'll be back in college on Monday. I heard there's a new girl. Hope she's hot" Jackson shot him a hard glare making him shut up. . "Yes, the night is drawing nearer. The time has come. I know, we know that the demigod is alive. We all can feel it. We have to find her and kill her. Anyone who finds her, will take over from me!!" Everyone gasped. They all have dream sitting on that big chair ruling over the whole vampires especially Dylan, Jackson's father. "Do you all understand?!!" A young vampire raised her hand. "I don't understand this. Who is a demigod?" She asked. Bob stared at her and smiled. "How old are you?" "102" she replied. "Hmm, I see. Every generation, a vampire and a witch are expected to fall in love giving birth to a child. Mostly, a girl. She's going to be a demigod because she is half vampire half witch. She is not part of us so we have to find her and kill her. She has a lot of powers and she might kill us" Bob said. Everyone started murmuring. "Silent everyone! This meeting is over. You can all go back and do the task. Find the demigod and bring her to me alive!!!" They murmured and left the mansion one after the other. Madison walked towards Jackson. "I'll make sure I find the demigod and become the head. I'll suck out her blood and..." "Shut up Madison. They said bring her her alive" Jackson said and walked out. "Then, we will find her and brings her together!" She yelled and ran after him. "I'll go hunt now. I'm thirsty" he said. His mother, Alice checked his eyes. "Sure Jackson. Your eyes are turning gold" "Let's go Cindy" They both used their super speed and zoomed out of the scene.
