Chapter 10

It wasn't in her best interests. You stumbled. You wounded her. She had long starved herself due to him, but not any longer. Phoenix was standing still. He remained with the pack there. He intended to be her mate, and Rebecca would know it. He would never stop trying to give her the life she deserved. Without without attempting, she managed to give him something he had forgotten he was craving. He now lived with Rebecca. Verse Seven The days went by rather successfully. Phoenix would hold up fabric swatches for Rebecca to choose from as he made decisions on the color scheme of the house and even the furnishings in the mornings as she awoke, savored a cup of coffee, and watched. Although they had a long way to go until the house was furnished, he wanted to be ready with instructions. As of right now, the majority of the upstairs was completely plumbed and had functional electrical outlets. For some reason, Rebecca had been electrocuted downstairs. A few hours later, her tongue was still numb, and some of her hair was on end. Phoenix was furious, so anytime the electrician came in from that point on, he made sure she returned to the hardware shop to get supplies. Rebecca began to discover the most gorgeous garden she had ever seen as the men worked on the house. It was all just a dream. The house was surrounded by a forest, but it had a back porch that opened into a wide expanse of grass that was ideal for picnics in the latter days of summer. There seemed to be a little field outside the main garden, which was surrounded by towering bushes. She was making an effort to show the beauty. She had no choice but to ask Daniel for assistance because it was difficult work. It made natural to consult his father since he was the principal gardener. Happily, Daniel noticed what she done, and so they collaborated, but it resulted in a whole new set of issues. Phoenix was particularly envious, despite the fact that she walked home with the alpha each night while Daniel left before her. Her parents ate dinner with them, and there had been a few late-night occasions when they had been the only two up. She was compelled to reflect on their kiss each time that occurred. When his lips touched hers, she felt the hardness of his body encircling her. After working on the garden for a few weeks, Daniel commented, "I don't think the alpha likes me. Rebecca got to her feet and wiped her brow. "Don't stress over it." "No, I haven't done anything, but he doesn't like me," I said. Daniel rose from his kneeling position and sat back. "Do you believe my odor is the cause?" "I hardly doubt the alpha is concerned with your odor. We are all stinking here, in case you missed the memo. In a bending motion, Rebecca removed a number of weeds from the field. She intended to clean it up, remove everything, prepare the ground with new seeds, and then reestablish the herb and vegetable garden. He keeps glaring at me and ignoring me, so I'm not sure. He left while I was explaining how I found a few of the statues and asking him where he would like them to be placed. Rebecca groaned. "Don't stress over it. He undoubtedly has a lot on his mind. She would have to speak with him. She wanted to divert the topic from what was going on with the alpha, so she said, "So tell me, how did your date go?" She was aware of what was happening, as was Phoenix. He had no business being envious of her. She had never wandered off. She rejected Daniel's requests for her to be his mate at each opportunity. They were never going to be together that way, she had made it very clear to him. Nothing more than buddies, they were. She was assisting him with dating in order for him to locate the partner he desired. That went well, but she's hunting for her one true mate just like I am. Oh, you're looking for her now, Rebecca remarked. "Well, I'll acknowledge it. I observe my parents and the couples in the community, and settling doesn't seem like much fun. You're correct, and I'm mistaken. Rebecca guffawed. Look, I warned you. Do you have time to be amusing yourself? Phoenix enquired. As she turned to face her partner, Rebecca pursed her lips. Throughout the last few weeks, her animosity for him had partially diminished. It was difficult to detest a man who was being lovely and kind and helping her forget all the things that had initially irritated her about him. Alpha, I'm sorry," Rebecca said. "We were discussing mates," Daniel sighed as Phoenix scowled at him. Do you realize how difficult it is to find a partner? Daniel enquired. "I've been on a ton of dates and I'm looking for the right woman for me," he said. Lunchtime, Phoenix declared. Daniel replied, "Of course it is, another lonely lunch for a lonely wolf. I'll see you when I come back, I said. She turned to face Phoenix because she was so sorry for him. You're not acting civilly, are you? He must get to work. I'm not supposed to cater to his needs. He claims that you despise him because he stinks. Phoenix responded, "He really stinks. So there is no connection between this and jealousy? "Jealousy is the root of it all." Rebekah grinned. She was powerless to stop. "You find this amusing," Only a little. Daniel declares his love for you. She gave a headshake. "No, he is madly in love with the thought of meeting someone. I am not that friend, as he had hoped. Never will I be his mate. Each of us is aware of that. That doesn't imply that he doesn't feel anything for you. Phoenix, I crushed them to the ground. 'You did,' “Yes. Despite everything you had done, I told him no because I couldn't allow him believe there was a chance between the two of us. The only chance we have to be together is as friends, I informed him, because I would never love him that way. Forever.” Was he not your very first? Phoenix enquired. “First? Do you believe he was my first partner? He remained silent. Okay, okay, I'll tell you straight away so we don't have any cross-wiring or anything like that, but I'm a virgin. “What?” "You're correct, Alpha. I am virginal. This threshold has never been crossed by a man. I have never had s*x. I also had my first kiss with you. You have received my lone kiss. She gave him a wink. "I believe lunch is in order." Phoenix caught her in his arms as she attempted to brush by him. He hardly ever touched her when they were in his house. He never done it with anyone else present. She said, "Someone might see." Let them f*****g see, please. Are you all mine? You find that not repulsive? “No.” Then, Rebecca said, "Yeah. I am totally yours. She wasn't sure why she said what she did. She wasn't certain if she wanted to be his partner. You are aware that this will take place between us, he said. She thought that didn't sound like an inquiry. She gave his body a quick glance before pressing her own against it. Do you believe you can manage it? she inquired. I mean, a man your age might not be able to keep up with me since I'm so young. Rebecca was acting in an illogical manner. none in the least. Yet, she was unable to stop. Phoenix had other plans when she tried to go to buy their lunch. She was shoved up against his house's outside by him. He grabbed her hands and raised them above her head. The actual query is, "Can you manage me?" I believe I can handle it. Rebecca didn't know how much she had been looking forward to his kisses until he slammed his lips on hers. She missed them because they hadn't shared one in a very long time. Oh, dear. She didn't want to want anything about him, yet right now she was. She did not resist him or make an effort to escape as he had her hands imprisoned over her head. She only desired to feel him. Her entire body tensed up as soon as she felt his pelvis brush against hers and felt the ridge of his c**k. Her n*****s clenched, and her p***y became slippery with excitement. Another groan from her as she pressed her teeth against her lip. He said, "Oh, f**k, Rebecca, what are you doing to me?" She pleaded, "Please." "You must order me to stop. Do you realize how uncomfortable it is to be close to you but unable to touch you? I do, "Yeah." because she shared it. She felt this way about him all the time; not a second passed without it. That wasn't just a need; it was unlike anything she had ever experienced. He released her hands, encircled her in his arms, and pulled her close. She kissed him back while holding him close to her. She resisted letting him go. **** Phoenix vowed not to harbor resentment toward her friend. Daniel was a decent person. He sneakily followed her into the garden when she first entered it to make sure it was secure. He was angry because he did not like the fact that she was electrocuted. The electrician had experienced his anger and vowed never to repeat the error. He had enjoyed Rebecca's enthusiasm in the garden. He enlisted her assistance as they built their house together every day. He intended for both of them to reside here together. He became enraged when he saw Daniel enter. Daniel desired Rebecca, he knew that. He had been informed of this by the man, yet he was unable to dispute that something had changed. Now that he was aware of Rebecca's virginity, he didn't care. He owned her, and he wouldn't surrender her to anyone. He intended to remain. He wasn't sure how he would break the news to her parents that he had mated with their daughter. Due to his lack of candor from the beginning, he could only anticipate that there would be many inquiries and a great deal of anger. He would manage everything quickly. He said goodbye to the remaining employees as they exited the building. Long ago, the light had faded. Rebecca had set up a few torches and was working in the garden's bottom when Daniel departed, informing him of this. He arrived at the garden to discover Rebecca stooped over the ground, working the dirt after the house had been locked and everyone had left. It's time for us to leave, so hurry up, baby." Rebecca raised her head and used the back of her arm to wipe her brow. “Already?” "Yes, that's done. We must leave. Whoa, she exclaimed. "This afternoon has gone by so quickly." As it had been what seemed like forever since their previous kiss, all he wanted to do was give her another kiss. Rebecca stood up and took hold of the flashlights she had pointed towards the floor. She disconnected them. She put the flashlights in the shed, closed it, and he followed her there before they both left the main home. Rebecca cried out, "I'm starving." “Good. It's great to see you eating again. She groaned. "Starving myself never truly produced the desired results. Did not shed a lot of weight. Yet you always seemed worn out. You no longer do. She laughed. Are you saying that I looked terrible when you returned to town? He displayed his fingers with a very slight gap. She gave him a push in the arm. “Asshole.” Just being truthful. To get them close, he grabbed her arm and passed it through his. She had a faint Rebecca perfume that blended with the smell of the dirt. I require a bath. I had sweat and grime all on me.
