Melissa
Rays of sunlight peeked into her room from the window which was opened slightly, after another hard day in school,Melissa felt tired and could only rush home crying, she didn't bother to touch her meal and after taking a shower she slept off from 6 pm till next morning waking up 6:30.
She laid on her bed deep in her thoughts. Although Melissa was born into a wealthy family had everything to her beck and call, she was never happy. One would wonder why because any who saw her would be filled with envy.
Melissa had brown eyes, long golden hair with a white skin, long smooth legs and dimples on both cheek, she turned 16 a few months ago but unlike other girls of her age who would fantasize about their crush, gist about any new Mr. handsome in class,Melissa didn't have the same opportunity because she was despised and mocked by her high school friends and even most teachers.
Well everything was okay at the beginning until they found out about Melissa's deep secret. Melissa had an eye problem,at noon if the sun was too hot and shining her brown eyes would shrink and turn to a grey colored one.During times like that she would be in a trance, unconscious of her surrounding.
That was her condition right from birth and even though her parents were wealthy and met all famous doctors, none could decipher the cause of her condition neither the solution for it.When her parents first saw the condition, they were always scared of her but the doctors advised them that it wasn't a bad omen and instead of avoiding her, they should treat her with love so she wouldn't get depressed. The most favorable season for her was winter when there was little or no sunshine and she was born during winter too.
This condition made her to always wear dark shades at noon time when in school and she'd prefer to remain in the class hardly participating in any outdoor activity during such time.
Although there was no bully at then, there was neither a close friend too.
Unable to tolerate more insults and seeing how Melissa came back home home sad always. Her parents withdrew her from the school and relocated to another place where she would attend a new high school.
