My uncle opened the laptop and started typing. “I, Skaila Hunter Suroi, solemnly swear to fulfill the ‘Rain mission’ as long as; I am the only person in control of my bank account from now on.” I glanced at my uncle, a smile played out on my face as I saw his face lose all color. “Two, I will be allowed to go where I want, whenever I want, and don’t want to even see a look of protest from either of you. Though, Xailier’s opinions are more than welcome,” I said, looking at him with a sheepish smile. “Three, I will choose my clothes from now on, and my sisters will also be able to dress as they please.” “Four, I will receive video reports on my sisters’ well-being when I am gone, and Jayde, being the future beta of the pack, will be in charge while I am away.” I looked up at my uncle, who was just finishing typing my last words, jamming each key roughly as he typed them. Chuckling to myself. I told my uncle to print three copies. My uncle looked at me after scanning through the documents. “And what if I don’t agree to sign your little contract?” I narrowed my eyes. “Well, if you don’t sign it, I won’t go anywhere, and I will have you tortured and slaughtered for costing my pack a valuable ally,” I told him calmly. He glared at me. ” You wouldn’t do that I’m your beta and uncle!” He exclaimed incredulously. He was right... But I’d be damned if I’d let him know that. “Try me,” I said, glaring coldly at him. He actually gulped and signed the three sheets, then passed the papers to Xailier, who gladly signed them, then passed them back to me. ****** ****** I was humming as I skipped to Jayde’s room. I knocked on her door and she opened it with a smile. “I could feel your excitement from downstairs! Tell me everything!” “I’ll tell you on the way to town. Get the babies ready, We’re going shopping” She squealed, jumping into my arms, wrapping me in a warm hug, and ran out of the room to get my little sisters. I went to my room and got ready. 15 minutes later, I stood in the main foyer, waiting for my sisters to come to meet me. Soon enough, they all arrived, and we set out. I borrowed Xailier’s Audi and drove us to town. Our pack’s territory was tremendous. We owned an entire town. There were rural suburbs, buildings, clubs, shops, restaurants, cafes, and a huge luxurious mall that put the mall of Dubai to shame. I parked in front of the mall and led my sisters inside. Most of the people there were human. Oblivious, they had moved into a town full of werewolves… A town that they so innocently called Ruiana, almost completely hidden by thick trees on the outskirts of Italy. Most beings couldn’t stand mortals. The fact we couldn’t be our true selves made being around them uncomfortable. They freaked out anytime they were exposed to something that was different or stronger than them. This was probably why their governments were so secretive. I found their ignorance of our existence refreshing. No one cared about who we were. We could roam the mall freely without being stopped and asked for favors or advice. I wish I could just stay here forever... I was truly going to miss my town. Everything about it was perfect, even though I had no friends outside of the pack. It’s not like I ever had the time to get to know anyone… Lyan made sure of that. My uncle had thought it would be best for us to get formal training from a US tribe. I had spent about 4 years in California and just returned this year. It wasn’t long enough to make many genuine friends, but apparently, long enough to pick up a slight Cali accent. We walked into the mall and looked around. My sisters went into a couple of stores and picked themselves out cute outfits. I got a bunch of clothes, shoes, and we all got accessories that fit us. Then we went to the salon. We all had the same hair type, kinda… The triplet’s hair was a little straighter than our 4c hair. A sweet lady came up to me. “What’ll it be, hon?” I had the hairstylist straighten my hair then dye it jet black with curled dark blue edges. Jayde also straightened her hair and added dark honey tones. She had naturally dark brown hair it looked great on her dark tan skin after being straightened her hair reached just above her chest. The triplets all got their hair temporarily straightened and cut in different sizes. Adrianne kept it long, and it fell to her lower back as mine did. Skylar’s was about the same size as Jayde’s, maybe a little shorter, and Nara was rocking a cute Rihanna-like short hairstyle. As we sat down for a bite to eat, nostalgia built up inside me and I bit back tears as I watched them laugh and joke about nonsense. They were my rocks and, unlike most siblings, we never really argued. We would occasionally throw some shade at each other but, it was all in good fun. We finished at around 6 p.m. and I asked Jayde to take the babies home. I still had a couple of errands to run to get prepared for my trip. I gave her the keys and placed a kiss on each of my sisters’ foreheads before heading back inside the mall. I went to a Harley Davidson shop and got a custom-made chopper. Black handlebars, awesome blood coven tribe symbols on each side decked out with dark green seats. I took it out to a local human pub I liked to go to with Xailier. The comfortable atmosphere reminded me of the countless times I had spent here. Cracking jokes with him while he drank his worries away. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer. As a werewolf, one beer wouldn’t even make me slightly tipsy. That was fine, though. I was in no mood to get s**t-faced, anyway. I just wanted to be alone, clear my head a little, and be unnoticed. Being Alpha came with a lot of respect but very unwanted fame. As I was about halfway through my beer, someone tapped on my shoulder and I turned around to see a pretty blonde girl in an extremely tacky uniform smiling at me. “Excuse me miss, some girls that were just in here asked me to give you this business card.” She said happily. I took the card and thanked her, skimming through its contents as she walked away. It was a weird card... Nymph tattoo, written in bold white printing; the back had an unfamiliar address. 300 Zzyzx Road, 3 blocks past Porter Lane. It was as if someone read my mind. I had one last thing on my list, and that was to get a tattoo before I left. I finished my drink and asked for the bill. “That’ll be €1.50.” I handed the bartender some cash. “Hey, do you happen to know where I can find this address?” I handed him the card, sparing myself the embarrassment of trying to pronounce the name of the street. He told me it was about a mile into the woods. Who the f**k opens a tattoo parlor in the middle of the woods? Well, I was in a shitty mood, so if it’s a trap, it’d be a great excuse to kick some ass and vent. I texted my sister the address just in case anything big went down, then got on my bike and sped off to the tattoo parlor. ***** ***** I had been walking in the forest for about 15 minutes and had yet to come across any signs of civilization. I parked my Harley at the end of the road, not wanting it to get covered in dirt. “Crap” I muttered. I had reached a dead-end. There was an enormous cliff in front of me, covered in vines and boulders. I was about to turn around when the vines in front of me started to glow faintly. I blinked twice. Was I hallucinating? Not only had the glow not disappeared, but it was also getting brighter and brighter as time passed. Soon the vines were the color of bright molten lava and actually started melting down the boulders. The boulders started melting too! They formed a pool of magma on the ground. “s**t!” I muttered to myself. I started panicking as I noticed it almost reach my shoes and jumped back a couple of feet. I looked back up to see it was already fading away, leaving what seemed to be like an unobstructed view of an entrance to a cave. I took a deep breath and walked into the cave there was a dark passage and little torches suddenly lit up, making everything visible. There were strange symbols written on the walls of the entrance and I didn’t know why, but I had this inkling, I had seen them before. I stopped in front of a very particular symbol; it looked like a black crescent moon there were dark green vines that wrapped around it. It was beautiful. I just stared at it, stupefied, until an angelic voice interrupted me. “My young child, you have finally come for your mark,” the voice said. I turned around to see a very young girl; she was petite and very cute. Her long red hair seemed to have a heavenly glow to it and flowed lightly down her back. She had big golden eyes covered by thick brown eyelashes. Freckles covered her nose and cheeks. She wore a white dress and a silver headband that had a huge sapphire encrusted in the middle. A big smile plastered on her face as if she had just seen a long-lost relative of hers. I was almost one hundred percent sure I had never seen her before in my life but; she emitted a very comfortable vibe. I chuckled when I realized she had just called me a young child when she looked about 13. “Hello, my name is Skaila, and who might you be, little one?” I asked as I approached her with a gentle smile. She frowned. “I’m Sapphire, and I am over 300,000 years old.”
