Chapter 12

In the elevator, we were able to relax and enjoy the ride. Definitely not warm and inviting; I seriously doubt that anyone would be able to relax in such a claustrophobic setting where there was no way out. After removing my tie and hurling my jacket to the ground, I proceeded to unbutton the top three buttons on my shirt. Macy's trembling was eventually put to rest by the minuscule light emitted by my phone. It's almost as if they're trying to figure out why you're even in this room. I inquired about her presence here, since I was perplexed by the fact that she had arrived so early and did not know the reason she was there. "Aren't you able to tell that I'm going to take a break right now?" She responded in a condescending manner by snapping back at him. as if I had experienced each of these things before, or something. "Are you getting what I'm saying?" I had been lost in thought when she suddenly resumed speaking, which jarred me awake immediately. No, I could do nothing but sigh helplessly. Repeat after me: "Penelope called me and asked me to come to the office for a meeting." Say it with me now. "Penelope? It's incredible, but we know she's currently in Paris. Or.." "I'm not sure. To give her credit where it's due, she did in fact invite me to the party. The passengers in the elevator resumed their silence once she had finished speaking. That might turn out to be helpful. This suggests that she might show up at any moment and take us away. "Hopefully." She made a gesture and a sound like she was mumbling. My muscles began to stiffen up as her hand made an unexpected motion. "Would you please move that elbow out of the way?" "It's driving me insane!" That is why she was being negative about it. Someone else's elbow... I took my time to speak, and while I did so, I could feel the tension building up in her body as she moved her head to look for her hand. "s**t!" While she murmured, her cheeks turned a shade of crimson that was almost black. To my mind, there was no room for doubt. She removed her hand from my crotch very immediately and took a few steps backward after doing so. 'I apologise. "I had no idea." She buried her face by covering her eyes due to the immense amount of embarrassment she felt. Don't be concerned about it, please. One question though: "What exactly led you to believe that my elbow was located down there?" I was amused, so I asked. "I'm sorry that it's so dark in here." Relax; there's no justification for your anger in any way, shape, or form. I made a comment, and she responded by rolling her eyes. I am unable to fathom the source of her agitation. Why do you think that I shouldn't be the one who is angry? What gives you that impression? Oh, listen to what I have to say, women. "I have nothing to do, and I'm starving." Macy groaned and scratched her abdomen while making the sound. I'm sorry, but I don't have any food that I can give you. If, on the other hand, we were to play a game, the time would pass pretty quickly. The suggestion that I made She smiled broadly, nodded, and responded with the word "Okay." I find myself raving about the pleasures of gaming. It's been ages since I've offered a recommendation along these lines. a round of "truth or dare?" as the game. I tried to give her a menacing grin, but she didn't pick it up. Who exactly are we? Teenagers?" She inquired with a look of utter disinterest on her face. "As you can see, there are not a lot of options available for us." "All Alright, Fire" a round of "truth or dare?" as the game. My mind started to wonder about it. "Truth." Has something like this ever occurred before? Why would he continue to ask after I've already told him no? Absolutely not. If you have the courage, tell it like it is! "Truth." It seems like you were talking about a girl whose name was Alexis, and you told me about her. How big of an impact does she have on you as a person? "I do. To be truthful or to take a chance? "Dare." I dared him in a playful manner: "Kiss me." She could not believe what she was hearing and shouted, "You're getting married!" Don't take away my fun by reminding me that I'm not married; besides, this is all good fun. I S A L E X I S Should I be engaging in this activity? What the heck. I got to my feet and moved over so that I could be in close proximity to him. Before I could reach up and take hold of his hands, he had them on my face. I bit my lip as I looked into his ocean blue eyes, and he looked into mine as well. We continued to look at each other until our lips met. The first few kisses went slowly, as if we were both hungry for each other and waiting for the right moment to express it. This may have been because we were both waiting for the right moment to express it. After some time, his lips moved from mine to the sensitive area on the side of my neck, and he started kissing and l*****g there instead. During the kiss, his lips travelled up my neck and then back down to mine again. I was startled out of my meditation by the sudden movement of the elevator after a switch was suddenly turned on. When I looked at him, I noticed that he wasn't wearing a tie or a jacket, and that my face was red from embarrassment. I took a deep breath and stepped away from his embrace. When I looked at him, I noticed that my face was red. A single push of a button brought the elevator to a halt, and he immediately began to straighten his tie and shirt. When he pressed the button once more, the elevator started moving once more once he had done so. Hey, friend, let's give this another shot some other time. He whispered the word "coupled" while giving a knowing nod. After what seemed like an eternity, the elevator doors finally opened, and there was Penelope, a huge smile on her face. "Pen!" "Kyle!" She murmured something as she hugged him even more tightly. "What exactly happened? A week in Paris? I thought you said you'd stay there for a week when you made that statement. Her smile was a warm and welcoming response to his inquiry. Because of a sudden change in circumstances, our schedule required a hasty adjustment. We were unable to contain our excitement any longer. And she did respond to him. meaning something along the lines of "What couldn't wait any longer?" The wedding itself. The new date is going to be in two weeks. I wanted Mack to be aware of everything that was going on, so I took her over. Who changed the date of the event? "Our parents." They continued talking as if I weren't even there; the moving date must have come as a surprise to Penelope as well, for there was no indication of enthusiasm on her face. I made a noise in my throat, which caused both of their eyes to immediately turn to me. Oh Mack, we are so sorry to bother you! talking like you weren't here. So, tell me, what are your thoughts? Kyle waited for an answer while Penelope asked me the question. My opinion is essentially unimportant at this point, because both of your parents have already come to a conclusion on the matter. It might appear that I spoke too quickly. To put it another way, "Are you capable of meeting the challenge?" In answer to her question, I gave a slight nod. In just a little over a fortnight, he will be saying, "I do." I will never see him again after this. "Either you didn't take the news well or you just don't like the notion," I asked. "It could be either one of those things." Before shifting her attention to me, she cast a swift glance in Kyle's direction. Yet, that is not what took place; all that happened was that it was unexpected. It was my comment that was made. I failed to ask how the two of you managed to stay alive while being confined together in such a confined space for exactly forty minutes. My first reaction was that one of you was going to try to kill the other. The woman was heard laughing. As soon as the thought of the elevator entered my consciousness, I dipped my head in an attempt to conceal my cheeks. When Kyle rubbed his throat, my attention was immediately drawn to him. She accidentally spilled my coffee, but other than that, nothing else happened. That wraps things up. He responded to her with a sneer on his face. "Mack, I'm about to go." "Do you want to come with me?" As she moved in to kiss Kyle on the cheek, I couldn't help but sigh and nod my head in agreement.
