Chapter 14

In a group, we made our way to the section of the bar, and the tall, lanky bartender greeted us with a warm smile as we arrived. Given that I am currently in the company of a number of well-known people, perhaps this is my fortunate day. The city's most eligible bachelor and that well-known fashion model. He said while showing off his teeth that they were an odd brown color. I do not feel at home in this environment. Inquiring, "What do you ladies have a preference for?", Kyle possesses an inquisitive mind. That evening, he was really quiet, which is very unlike him. After what I can only assume was a distressing experience for him, he behaved towards me in no way whatsoever. "Shots!" Penelope made a pleasing noise. "As the lady instructed us to do it, everyone has a drink!" After Kyle discovered the information, he shared it with the bartender. He arranged the little cups in a row and then poured tequila into each one individually. We had to quickly get our wine glasses together. "Cheers!" We jumped to our feet while simultaneously clinking our glasses. After finishing our drinks, we slammed the empty vessels against the surface of the tiled area. "Let's do it again!" The exclamation that Penelope made was borne out of real excitement. The bartender agreed with the request and refilled the glasses before wishing his customers a hearty "Cheers!" We let out one final roar and then clinked our glasses together before downing the remainder of our drinks. My throat was on fire, but my body begged for more. My mouth was on fire. As soon as I turned to look at Penelope, she broke into a broad smile. asking in an inviting manner, "Guys, are you ready for another round?" Penelope glared at the men in the room. From what I can tell, I seriously doubt that they will be able to handle it. I gave the guys a cheeky grin in response to the one that they were giving each other. Are you ladies looking to start a confrontation with us? Brian let out a chuckle as a result of it. You ladies are condemned to failure. Kyle provided assistance and support for Brian's case. So, you guys keep the momentum going, and I'll see you on the dance floor. It would be great if I could get a ride home tonight instead of having to go by myself. Ashton made a remark, and after that, he disappeared without saying anything further. "We've got one victory under our belts and two more to go!" It made me grin. Now that there are only the two of us in this location, let's get to work. Why don't Penelope and Kyle go off against you and me in a competition instead? While Brian continued to explain, we nodded our heads in agreement. "Penelope and Kyle both." Both Mackenzie and Brian are in this group. While he was doing so, he gave a resounding shout. My heart's desire was to spend time with Kyle. It is really beyond my understanding. The effects of alcohol are starting to kick in. "Sure." I immediately agreed to cover up the sadness I was feeling. Last but not least, "All right then." Penelope smiled broadly and gave Kyle the thumbs up in response to his grin. "Will you please fill our drinks all the way up, Bartender?" We drained our cups in one fell swoop once Brian had signaled to the server that we needed more drinks. After a couple more shots, I started to feel like something was weird in my head. I attempted to clear my vision by shaking my head when I was feeling somewhat bewildered. My other friend Penelope and I toasted our failure with a glass of wine. I sat down and made an effort to recover my wits, but it felt as though the contents of my eyeballs were being sucked out at the same time. After what seemed like an eternity of silence, I suddenly became aware that the song being played was one that I was familiar with. My eyes widened and a smile appeared on my lips as I realized that Rihanna was the one who had worked on it. I got out of my chair too quickly and started to feel dizzy as the room started to spin around me. To all the guys out there! "Let's get out there and start dancing!" I struggled to find the right words and finally said. Although Penelope appeared to be highly intoxicated, Brian appeared to have hit his limit, and Kyle appeared to have been drinking extensively for a considerable amount of time, I personally did not feel anything at all, despite the fact that Brian and Kyle appeared to have been. "Y-yes...dancing!" Penelope stumbled and stuttered as she attempted to get out of her chair, but Brian was able to catch her just in time to prevent her from falling. In your current state, no one should anticipate that you will be able to dance. Even after Brian voiced his dissatisfaction in the form of words, she still pulled away from his embrace. Both being and doing belong to me. She uttered an announcement while pressing her lips together. Someone suggested to Kyle that the two of us accompany the ladies so that no one would think it would interfere with their relationship. In response to what Brian had to say, Kyle indicated his agreement with a nod and got up from his chair. Penelope tried once more to walk normally, but she was unable to do so, so Brian had to pick her up and carry her once more. Kyle continued to stare at the ground as if he were indifferent, which gave the impression that he was. What exactly took place with him, if you may ask? You are welcome to come along with Macy while I watch over Penelope. It could have been the wine, but I'm very sure Brian's eyes met mine for a fraction of a second as he was giving the directions. Kyle followed me around, but he did not smile like he normally does; it seemed as though he was both there and not there at the same time. To tell you the truth, I have no idea what it is that I'm considering. I wanted to let go of my concerns and dance, but Kyle's face prevented me from doing so. He did nothing but stand there and would not budge an inch. When I turned my head to look in the opposite direction, I saw Penelope and Brian dancing with such passion that Penelope was unable to dance in the proper way, and Brian had his hand on her waist. There is, without a doubt, friction between the two of them. When I felt a hand reach for my behind, I swung around and smacked it away before it could touch me. I scream for help as a drunken man tries to grab me, but no one appears to hear me, or if they do, they may think I'm being ridiculous and ignore what I'm saying. Kyle really ought to be here, doesn't he? Can I not rely on him to look out for my best interests? When I raised my voice to call for assistance, someone grabbed the intoxicated man by the collar and gave him a blow that was so powerful that it caused him to fall to the ground, where he lay motionless while everyone's attention was drawn to him. Penelope and I were eventually able to make our way out of the club when Kyle grabbed my hand and led us out. After seeing us and making a hand signal towards us, the chauffeur motioned for us to come to him. Could you please fill me in on what occurred back there? Where were you when Macy desperately required your assistance? Despite Brian's attempts to probe Kyle, the latter responds with a simple sigh. "During our conversation, Ashton revealed to me that he would be traveling with a specific person to a new location. Nobody gave me any indication that they were going to attempt to hurt her before they did it. In between farts, Kyle defended himself. When we finally arrived at the hotel, Penelope got out of the vehicle, and Brian helped her down before he did the same. "Are you going to stay the night, Macy?" Penelope's response was clumsy due to her stuttering. My soul is aching for the familiar surroundings of my own house. My words were slurred because my mind was still trying to digest everything that had happened in the preceding few minutes. "Sta-"" I'm ready to call it a day and go back to the safe haven of my home. Well, I'll make sure she makes it home without any problems. Kyle assured them that everything was OK. In either case, bro. Have you thought of going back to your house? After Kyle gave the signal, the driver climbed in, and they started moving as soon as he did. There was an awkward hush that pervaded. The expression on Kyle's face remained unchanged from before. There is no truth to the urban legend that drinking can help you forget things faster. After what seemed like an eternity, the car came to a complete stop, and I got out to investigate. When I did, I realized that I had been in this neighborhood before. Are you sure you don't want to descend from that point? I didn't catch Kyle's question. After taking a glance at my surroundings, I realized that I was outside of my own home. And how in the world did he get my address in the first place? It would appear that everyone was keeping track of my whereabouts, so having Jasmine come up to my door was the last thing I needed to deal with at that moment. When Kyle came to help me, he staggered and held on to the car with me at the same time. After that, I got down on the ground and stretched while holding on to the car for balance. We both chuckled as he looked up at me with his blonde hair standing on end from the wind. This evening was the first time in a very long time that he had laughed out loud. By grasping the doorframe, we gave the impression that we were helping each other out. I was able to locate a number of keys, but I was unable to determine which ones were necessary to unlock the front door. As the first key I tried to enter wasn't recognized, I looked over at Kyle, and we both broke out in a hearty laugh. I looked over to Kyle as soon as I realized that the second key had unlocked the door, and the two of us laughed heartily at our good fortune. After I'd thrown open the door, the two of us stumbled inside. When I departed, the door was already locked. Which space—the bedroom or the living room—do you use to get some shut-eye? Kyle asked me a question after I had idly pointed in the general direction of the stairway. We were clutching at each other for support, yet at the same time, we each had a firm object in our hands. We were finally successful in reaching the steps, but despite our best efforts, we were unable to successfully ascend them. I wasn't completely sure what Kyle meant by the customary "one foot up, another up," but we followed his advice and made our way down the stairs slowly and carefully while still gripping each other and the railing. As we had finally reached the bedroom, Kyle kicked down the door to the room in order to open it. After a big laugh as we entered my home, we went straight to my bedroom and passed out on the bed. When I fell on top of him, we both glanced at each other and started laughing nervously. "Alexis." While he was making his comment, he let a few tears escape his eyes. The correct response is "I have." After that, I was unable to stop myself from slamming my lips into his before I did it. When our mouths collided, all I could smell was alcohol, but all I could taste was liquor.
