Tony POV

I was shocked when Luciano had called me and told me that he was with Seraphina and that he had told her about his past. I was even more shocked when he told me that she had told him about hers. I told him that it took her a year to finally open up to me and when he told me that the man who killed her parents was really her father that was a total shock to me.  I didn’t know about that but when he tried to tell me how he was from the Italian Mafia I told him that I already knew that and he was shocked that I had already knew but I told him that I am going to need him to take care of Seraphina and I told him that I  don’t have much time left. He asked if she knew and I told him no that she doesn’t, and I don’t want her to know either and he said okay. It made me feel good because I love Seraphina like a daughter and the fact that he loves her already I know that she will be okay in the end. I want her to be happy. I am afraid for her because for all these years she has been driven by the hatred for the man who killed her parents and only for this man to be her real father. I was scared for her when Luciano told me that she had passed out, but he said that he was going to stay and make sure that she was going to be okay. I know that she is fighting her attraction to him and I know how stubborn she can be at times. I am hoping that she will give him a chance because she is going to need his strength to lean onto. I only have a month to two months at best left to live.

I didn’t tell Luciano how long I have left to live because the last thing that I need right now is anyone to pity me. I don’t want people to feel sorry for me because I have lived the life I wanted to live, and I am going to go out fighting as well. After I hung up with Luciano, I was sitting in my office in the gym and I heard some glass breaking. I got my metal bat and walked out of the office and I could see someone walking into the gym and who ever it was they were throwing stuff around. I walked out and I said whoever you are, you have 10 seconds to leave or else. When he walked into the room, he flicked the lights on and asked for Phoenix. I asked him who wants to know and when he lifted his mask off his face it was the Punisher. I told him what does he want with her? He said that he is going to teach that little b***h a lesson for humiliating him in front of everyone. I told him that he is not going to touch her and that she beat him fair and square. I told him to get the f**k out of here and that he is going to stay the f**k away from her or else. He charged at me and he tackled me to the ground and knocked the bat out of my hand and he tried to punch me in the face. I was able to block his hits and I rolled away from him and I got up and got the bat and hit him over his back. He dropped to the floor but was quick to kick my legs out from under me and I fell and hit the back of my head hard on the floor. He jumped on top of me and started punching me repeatedly in my face and I was not able to block his punches and he started to choke me, and I was losing consciousness. He got off of me and he said that he is going to leave a little message for her and out of the corner of my eye I seen him get the bat and he stood over me and he hit me in the leg and I could feel the crack of it being broken and then he hit me in the ribs. I felt like I was drowning, and he leaned down, and he said that he is going to go after her and when he finds her, he is going to kill her. I tried to talk but I was choking on something and blood was coming out of my mouth and I knew that he punctured my f*****g lungs. He laughed at me and then he gave me another kick in the ribs and walked out. I tried to move but it was hard, and it hurt like hell and I felt like I was dying a lot sooner then what I expected too. I was able to drag myself too the office and it seemed like it took forever but I finally managed to get there, and I pulled the phone off my desk and dialed 911. I tried to talk but more blood came out of my mouth and I was choking, and I could hear the operator talking to me, but I couldn’t say anything. The last thing I heard was the police telling me that they traced the call, and someone was on their way to help me.

After that I passed out, I don’t remember being taking to the hospital, but I could hear Seraphina talking like she was far away, and I could hear her crying. I opened my eyes and I could see her sitting next to me and Luciano was sitting next to her holding her. When she seen me open my eyes and started crying again and she asked if I was okay and I told her no that I feel like I got my ass kicked. I tried to laugh but it hurt like hell. I gritted my teeth and I asked her how long I have been out, and she said that I have been out for three weeks and I groaned. I looked at her and I asked her if she was okay and she looked confused and said that she is fine and that she should be asking me that question. She asked who the f**k did this to me and I didn’t want to tell her at first and I decided it was best to be honest with her. I told her that it was the Punisher. I told her and Luciano that I was sitting in the office at the gym still and that I had heard glass breaking and I grabbed my bat to go and check it out and when I went out there the person was wearing a mask. When he flicked the lights on, and he lifted the mask off his face I seen that it was him and I asked him what the f**k does he want. I told her that he was asking for her and that he wants to kill her for humiliating him in front of everyone. I told him that you beat him fair and square, but he was not happy with that. I told them that he managed to tackle me to the ground and knock the bat out of my hands and that when he tried to punch me, I was able to block his blows and move away. But he managed to knock me on my ass and started to punch me in the face. He got my bat and slammed it down on my leg, and ribs. I told her that I was sure that he cracked some of my ribs because I felt like I was drowning. I told them that I was able to drag myself to the office and dial 911, after that I don’t remember anything else. I told her that she needs to be careful and to not be anywhere alone.

She said that this was all her fault and that she is so sorry and that she is going to find that motherfucker and kill him herself. Luciano and I both yelled that she is not going near him. Luciano told me that he is not going to let him get anywhere near her. The doctor just walked in to come and check on me and he asked how I am doing, and I told him that I am okay just sore. He said that I was very lucky and he was looking at my charts and he said Tony I don’t know how to tell you this but with what happened you don’t have much time left, and that they can start me on some treatments to make me comfortable. Seraphina looked at me and then the doctor and she asked what are you talking about? What treatments? The doctor looked at me and looked at her and he said sorry that he is going to leave us to talk. The doctor left and I looked at her and Luciano and she reached my hand and she said Tony what is going on and I told her that you know that I love you like a daughter right. She said that she knows, and I told her that I have been sick and that the doctors had told me that I have two months at the most left to live. She gasped and sucked in a breath and she pulled her hand out of mine and she said why didn’t you tell me sooner. I told her that I didn’t want her to worry about me and I didn’t want to be a distraction to her. She laughed and she said are you f*****g serious Tony that I should have told her and that I was like a father to her. Luciano sat next to her the whole time just listening and holding her in his arms. She stood up and she said that she is going to kill that son of a b***h and I told her either way it would not have changed the outcome Seraphina and  I told her that I am tired of being in pain already. I told her that I loved her and how proud I am of her and she will always be my daughter no matter what. She leaned down and hugged me, and I held her in my arms, and she cried and told me that she loves me too. She has never cried in front of me and I felt so bad because I made her cry, I never wanted to make her cry. Luciano sat there and watched us and he stood up and came over to me and gave me a hug too. Seraphina turned to him and she wrapped her arms around Luciano, and I was happy that he was here. I told him to please look after my little girl and to take care of her. Seraphina started crying even more after hearing this and Luciano said that he promises that he will take care of her with his life.
