(three weeks earlier) I was asleep, and I could hear Seraphina talking to someone, but I was tired because we were making love the whole night and I was tired. She sounded upset and when she shook me, and she said that something happened to Tony and that he was in the hospital I woke up right away and I asked her what happened to him? I had talked to him just last night after she had passed out. I was hoping that he was okay because I know that he is like a father to her. I know how she felt about him and that she loved him like a father. I got ready right away and I got the keys to drive her car because she was in no condition to drive and she didn’t give me any problems. As soon as we got to the hospital, she asked the nurse at the front desk for his room and when the nurse said he was in ICU, she looked up at me with tears in her eyes. I wrapped my arm around her waist and told her that he would be okay. We went into the elevator and went up to the floor that ICU was on and when we walked into his room, we both were not prepared to see him in this condition. She sucked in a deep breath and if I wasn’t holding her, she would have collapsed to the floor. A sob tore out of her mouth and she said oh daddy and I had to hold on to her and there was a doctor in there looking over a chart and she asked what happened to him. The doctor told her that he was very lucky and that who ever did this beat him up pretty bad. He said that they broke his leg and broke four of his ribs which punctured his lung. I was f*****g pissed at whoever did this to him. I could feel Seraphina shaking in my arms. He said that the police and ambulance got to him just in time. She asked if they caught the person who did this, and he said that the police are still looking for the person who did this. She asked if he was going to be okay and he said that they just need to give him time and see what happens and this made her cry. It hurt me to see her hurting and I wanted to kill the person who is making her hurt like this. Tony was covered in bruises all over his body and it hurt me to see him like this.

I told Seraphina that I am going to go to the gym to see if I could find any clues and talk to the rest of the guys to let them know about Tony. She asked if I was coming back and I told her yes that I will be back for her. I could tell that this was hard for her and I would not let her be alone in this. I left and headed to the gym and when I got there the place was a mess, the police were still there along with a forensic team taking prints around the entrance and the broken glass. Some of the guys were there and the police were talking to them and as soon as they seen me, they came up to me and asked me what was going on and where was Tony. I told them that I have been with Seraphina at the hospital and that Tony had got beat up. They were shocked and they asked who the hell did this. I told him that we don’t know but they f****d him up pretty good. I told them what the doctor told Seraphina and I and they were really pissed and they said that they want to help look for whoever did this and I told him that if they find out anything to let us know so that we could work together to make this son of a b***h pay. They asked how Seraphina is doing and I told them that she is taking it very hard and they told me to tell her that they are very sorry and that if she needs anything that they are all there for her. They told me to please take care of their little sister and I told them that I would guard her with my life. I know that they were curious about what is going on between me and Seraphina and they asked me if I love her and I told them the truth that yes we are in love with each other. It seemed like they were happy with my response and they said cool as long as I don’t hurt her. I looked around Tony’s office too see if I could find any clues but all that was around was broken glass and blood stains to trailed to the office. Seeing all of this made me furious because I didn’t want to imagine the pain that Tony must have been in. I felt bad for him and I was wondering who could have did this to him. Tony was not a young guy anymore and I was wondering if this was directed at Tony or one of us here. For some reason I kept thinking if this could be directed at Seraphina, and if this is the case I am going to do everything in my power to protect her and possibly call Santo for back up. I just don’t know how Seraphina would feel about her dad coming back here now after all of this time. Santo would be happy to finally be reunited with his daughter. That would mean that I would have to take over and take my place has head of my family. If that is the case, then I would have my Donna by my side. I wonder how Seraphina would feel about being by my side and would she want to be apart of my world?

(present) Three weeks have passed Seraphina and I have been here everyday with Tony as she didn’t want to be away from him. Seraphina was talking with me and she has been a mess this past three weeks and when she looked at him, she seen him opening his eyes and she started crying. I got up to call for the doctors right away and I went to sit next to her and hold her in my arms. She reached for his hand and was holding it in her own. She asked if he was okay and he said yeah, he was but he felt like he got his ass kicked. I know that he was trying to lighten the situation and when he tried to laugh about it, he gritted his teeth. I knew that he was in pain, but he didn’t want to scare her. He asked how she was doing, and she scoffed at his question and she asked who the f**k did this to him. That’s my girl right to the f*****g point because I wanted to know the same thing as well. He looked at her like he didn’t really want to tell her, and I felt like I was not going to like his response either. When he opened his mouth, he closed it and then he spoke, and he said that it was the Punisher who did this to him. My hand tightened in a fist and Seraphina stood up saying that she is going to kill that son of a b***h. Tony told us that he was sitting in the office when he heard glass being broke and that he got his metal bat and went to confront the person. He said that the person flicked on the lights and when he lifted the mask over his head, he seen that it was the Punisher. Tony said that he asked him what the f**k did he want, and he told us that he was looking for Phoenix. He said that he was going to go after her and that he was going to kill her for humiliating him in front of everyone. Tony said that she beat him fair and square and Tony said that he is going to get her. This s**t pissed me off because I will be damned is this motherfucker thinks that he is going to go after my woman. I will kill him and his entire family.

I was holding Seraphina’s hand and she was shaking because she was furious, and I couldn’t blame her because I was feeling the same way. Tony told us how the Punisher attacked him, and I was thinking this f*****g b***h is a f*****g p***y to be attacking an old man and I was glad that the police and ambulance got to him in time. Seraphina said that she was so sorry, and this is all her fault. She said that she was going to go and find him and kill him herself, Tony and I both yelled that she is not going to go anywhere near him. Just then the doctor walked in and he was looking over Tony’s charts and he said that he was very lucky that the police got there in time. The doctor told Tony because of what happened to him that he doesn’t have much time left and I could feel Seraphina stiffen at my side and her hand clenched my hand tighter. I looked at her and she looked confused and she asked the doctor what you are talking about. The doctor looked from her to Tony and the doctor said that they could start Tony on treatments to make him comfortable. Seraphina kept looking at Tony she was confused, and Tony looked at me and then Seraphina. The doctor looked at me and Tony and he said that he was sorry and that he would leave us so that we could talk. Seraphina grabbed Tony’s hand and she asked what is going on. Tony told her that you know that I love you like a daughter right. I could tell that she was scared, and I could feel her hand start to get sweaty and she was shaking really bad. I wrapped my hand around her waist, and he told her that he had two months left to live and that he has been sick. She sucked in a breath and she pulled her hand out from his and I could tell that this hurt him. She asked him why he didn’t tell her sooner and he said that he didn’t want her to worry about him and that he didn’t want to be a distraction to her either. She was yelling by this time and she asked him are you f*****g being serious right now! She told him that he has been like a father to her. I was sitting by her this whole time just holding on to her and she shot up out of the chair and yelled that she is going to kill that son of a b***h. Tony told her that he should have told her sooner and that he loved her like he was her own father and that he was so proud of her and that he will always lover her no matter what. She broke down and went to hug him and she cried her heart out. It hurt to see her cry like this, and I made a vow to myself that I would find this f*****g asshole and end his f*****g life! I got up and went to the other side and hugged Tony as well. Tony looked up at me and he said for him to please look after his little girl. Seraphina heard this and she started crying even more and I told him that I promise to take care of her with my life.

After talking with Tony, I left him and Seraphina inside the hospital room I needed to make some phone calls and the first being to Santo my second in command. I wasn’t sure how Seraphina was going to feel about me calling him but the fact that the Punisher went to this extent to wanting to harm her I need to take all necessary precautions when it comes to my woman. I will explain everything when you get here). After hanging up with Santo I could tell that he was shocked but he agreed to come right away and I knew he would. I just have to explain this to Seraphina, and I am not sure what her reaction will be when she finds out.
