Several days passed, and Lauren couldn’t help but constantly think of the soft voice she heard.  She wanted to find out who it was.  She needed to find her.  The only problem was she didn’t know where to start.  Since the prom was cancelled, Lauren and Claire had no plans for the following night.  Lauren called Claire.  “Claire, I need your help.  Can we have a sleepover?”   “Sure thing Ren.  I’ll be right over.” Claire bing up the phone, packed a small bag, and looked at herself in the mirror.  She wondered when she would find her mate.  It was a short walk to Lauren’s house, and the door opened before Claire could knock.  “H-h-hi Finley,” she managed to say.  “Where’s Lauren?” Finley is Lauren’s older, and devilishly handsome brother.  He is at least 6’4”, has light blue eyes, dark brown shoulder length hair, muscles that show under all of his clothes, and the best looking ass Claire had ever seen.  Finley turned to look at Claire.  He has never realized how beautiful she was before.  Her long brown hair that she kept up in a ponytail, her caramel colored skin that peeked out her n all the right places from under her sundress, her piercing green eyes that he thought could see right through him, and her ample breasts that seemed as though them might pop out of her dress.  “Sh-she’s upstairs in her room.  I have to go!” Finley turned to run away, but not before glancing back over his shoulder at her.  As Claire reached the top of the stairs, Lauren was suddenly waiting for her impatiently.  “You have to help me.”, Lauren said as they walked to her room.  “You have to help me find my mate, Claire.  Please!” Claire looked at her. “Ok Lauren, but it’s not going to be easy.”  Claire and Lauren sat chatting about how they might be able to find her.  Lauren could feel herself being pulled toward what she was certain was another daydream.  She let herself be pulled into it.  She found herself sitting out in the moonlight, feeling the slightest breeze blowing through her long, golden hair.  She could feel someone staring at her.  Admiring her.  “Who are you?” Lauren whispered.  There was no answer.  However she could still feel someone’s gaze upon her.  “Please, what’s your name?”   The voice finally whispered, “Lauren, I’m Kelly.  I’m your mate.”  Lauren gasped, and started to tell her she knew, but before she could Kelly said, “Lauren, I need you.  You have to save me before we can be together.” “Lauren?” Claire was saying trying to get her friends attention.  “Lauren,” she said again.  Lauren snapped out of the daydream.  Claire just stared at her as she explained about Kelly, and how she needed to find her and save her to be able to be with her.  “Holy s**t,” said Claire.  “You get to be someone’s knight in shining armor.”  Lauren giggled, and said “yeah I guess I do.”  “The only thing is I don’t know where she is or what I have to save her from.”  Lauren sighed.  “Don’t worry Ren!”, Claire told her.  “We will figure this out, and save your mate.”  Lauren shot up from the chair she was sitting in, and looked straight at Claire.  “Claire, I know how to communicate with her, it’s through my daydreams.”  Claire looked at her.  “How can that be Lauren?”  Lauren shrugged, but she knew she was right since this was the second time it’s happened.  Claire broke the silence, “You know Ren, it could be someone you know.  Someone from your old town.”  Lauren thought about it, and then said, “I don’t know Claire, because I don’t know anyone named Kelly.”  The girls fell asleep discussing who “Kelly” could be, and how she could show up in Lauren’s daydreams.  As far as they knew no one could do that unless you’re linked somehow to your mate.  There was only one thing they could do to find out.  They had to talk to Lauren’s father, Luca.
