chapter 2 The Alpha's tent

Beta Patrick entered the tent with me in tow

"Here she is, Alpha Velintine,"

the Alpha stared at me

"What's wrong?"

as he see's I'm upset, they take him away. "Who he asks me?"

I continue to stare in defiance

"Who is she talking about, Beta Patrick?"

"This young pup wanted to choose her, but I simply didn't allow that to happen he says with a smirk. "

"Leave us now!"

"Yes, Alpha."

as his beta exits the tent the Alpha glares in my direction

"Now that's enough!"

he shouts uing his Alpha tone and to his surprise It doesn't make me submit as I try to hold back my anger

"I will not have you upset over another male wolf in front of me he growls while looking at me,"

I let out a sigh he was my childhood friend, and nothing else, i have the right to feel the way I do, and you have no right to judge me or tell me who I can get upset over! I think he was surprised I shouted at him then I decided to say this right to his face I thought you liked people being scared or hostile so why should it be any different for me everyone else is scared or hostile towards you? he started at me before responding

"Yes, but not you! You're going to be my mate, my Luna. I never want you to be afraid of me or hostile now. Let's go it's time for the full moon ceremony

he exits the tent with me following behind him he starts pushing through other werewolves who quickly move out of the way he walks up and leaves me standing in the betas line up with the other she-wolves

the elders began to talk but my heart was pound to loud that I didn't hear what they were saying as I tried to calm my self to listen I hear them begin to call out names in every direction I hear voice's say mine as they walk to meet their mates as I'm watching I hear my name get called

"Harley Maxwell from the guardian wolf pack"

"She's with me,"

a loud voice shouts out as the blood moon Alpha walks up to me everyone was staring with sympathetic looks everyone knew about the blood moon pack they never lost a fight when valentine took over the pack he was a fierce fighter that never backed down as we head to the tent Alpha velintine was staying in we make are way in he stops and looks at me for a second.

"You can sleep in here, and I'll sleep in the tent next to you. Have a good night,"

He exists the tent without looking back or saying another word, you too I say even though he already left I decide maybe this is just a dream I'm stuck in and when I wake up I'll be back home in my bed i tried to close my eyes but i just laid there with thoughts swarming my mind, why me I wish the moon goddess didnt place this curse on every werewolve then I could find my true mate I see the sun starting to peak threw the tent and realize I stayed awake all night i hear the tent open.

"Harley, it's Beta Patrick. Are you awake?"

Yes I reply back I will be out in a second as I get out of bed I quickly realized I never brought anything to change into i glanced at the end table next to the bed and saw some clothes Alpha velintine got me clothes I thought to my self as I finished getting dressed and throw on the pair of shoes then come out of the room to see Beta Patrick waiting by the exit of the tent

"Are you ready to leave?"

Yes, I reply while following him out of tent. I look around and notice that Alpha velintine isn't here, umm, Beta Patrick

"Yes,"

Where is Alpha velintine?

"He had a few work matters to sort he will meet us at the car."

Okay I continued to the car next to him i notice Beta Patrick glances at me then he starts to walk ahead to put the luggage in the trunk as I'm almost close to the car I hear a harsh voice

"Harley, stop! with a low growl"

I turn around to see Alpha jones from my soon to be old pack storming up he grabs my arm, startling me as I've never seen him put his hands on any of his pack before

Alpha Jones, it's lovely to see you before I leave. Do you need me to assist someone with anything?

"No but you have to reject him Harley he starts to shout he forced you to be his mate your father will never allow this he is a murderer and will betray any pack do you really want to end up with someone like him?"

well, no, and then where is my father he never came with you he didnt even come to the ceremony to stop it? and he also didn't force me. I replied that his beta was ordered to find me and bring me to him. When I got to the tent, he said he was choosing me for his mate

"What he growls are you really going to betray our pack and do this Harley? or are you going to stay where you belong and become beta cause if you choose him, you are never aloud back here again! so what's your choice? "

as he is still holding my arm I let out a small whimper as his nails began digging into my arm Alpha jones please let go i would never betray this pack it's my home as I finish saying that I feel my whole body move from infront of him to behind the Alpha from the blood moon pack I hear him let out a beast like growl.

"DONT YOU EVER TOUCH MY MATE!"

I just stood there in shock trying to hold back tears he half shifted as he picked Alpha jones up by the arm you could hear his bones snap in his hand and arm as he screames out in pain Alpha velintine then drops him walks up to me and gets me in the car it speeds off with Beta Patrick following in his car behind.

I was still in complete shock at what happened before we left he really is a monster I think to my self I was holding onto the handle of the door as he continued to speed and swerve I notice he glanced at me then precedes to slow down a bit i think he could tell the way he was driving was scaring me, half way into the drive I decided to break the silence with asking how long it would take to get there

"It's a day drive. You should get some rest,"

I turn to look out the window not bothering to answer back I started to get lost in my thoughts as we drove I could feel my eyes getting heavier I tried to keep them open if anything turned bad I needed to know how to get out of here so I flick on the radio to try and stay awake

"I dont like music,"

As he turns it off I decide to ignore him and look back out the window i paid attention to all the turns we took as we drove I saw a few deer standing in the tree line at one point i thought I heard wolves from my old pack howling then it was just tree after tree i slowly felt my eyes close i knew i couldn't continue to keep them open so I gave in and drifted off to sleep.
