CHAPTER 7 I woke up as the car came to a stop, I stretched and yawned, adjusting my eyes to the sight in front of me as Ansel opened my door. I stepped down from the car looking at the villa in amazement. The house was all sharp angles and dark charcoal concrete, its matte black exterior rising against the twilight like something carved from shadow. Glass and warm light bled through its sleek facade, stark white steps climbing toward an entrance that felt more like a statement than a welcome. It was beautiful, cold and utterly unapologetic about both. Ansel guided me up the stairs and into the house and the inside had my mouth open wide in amazement. Vast, cold deliberate. Dark charcoal walls bled seamlessly from the exterior inward concrete floors, matte black cabinetry, floating staircases, and walls of glass overlooking a city that looked small from up here. Every room was beautiful in the way that expensive things are — perfectly arranged, perfectly empty, and designed less for living and more for impression. “You live here alone?” I asked Ansel who was looking at me, gauging my reaction “Not really” He replied and I furrowed my brows in confusion “Caspian, Riley and Jordan do too and some of the guys come around at times” “Wow, it's nice” “Well, you can also be staying here, or if you don't like it, we can go to another of my villas” “Villas?”I asked my mouth hung open in shock “Why are you surprised, Fiorellino?” “Valid question” “I thought you were taking me to your office?” I asked as he led me to his pantry “Yeah, my home office” “Lead the way your majesty” I said sarcastically while doing a fake curtsy. He scoffed in reply, and the edges of his lips curved up in amusement We walked silently towards his office, while I admired the house, silently mulling over staying here or checking the other villas and the urge to check them all to know the better one was so strong. I pushed it all to the back of my mind as Ansel opened the door to his office. It was like every other home office, oak doors, mahogany table, a shelf stacked with books. The table was neatly arranged and off to the side of the room sat a woman with platinum blonde hair, which was styled in a tight bun, she was wearing black slacks and a white button up shirt. She stood up at the sight of us and her lips stretched into a smile. Isabella Campbell in the flesh was smiling at me, I smiled back at her, with a nod. As she stood I noticed she was on heels which added to her height. “Hello, I'm Isabella, oh my, you look stunning” “Thank you, the pictures didn't do you justice” I replied with a smile “Don't flatter me” she said with a soft chuckle as we both took our seats. Ansel sat down on his seat and pulled me to his lap, making me roll my eyes, while Isabella sat on one of the seats in front of us. “How did you get this one to settle?”She asked, amusement dancing in her eyes. I chuckled and shrugged. Ansel just wrapped his hands around me, pulling me into him more and placed his nose in the crook of my neck. “Do you want something big?” She asked changing the topic “Yes I do” I replied and she seemed it down “Would it be open, like in a garden or beach?” “No, do you have other options?” ✨✨✨ The talk with Isabella stretched on for over an hour before we decided to call it a day. Ansel slept off after making himself comfortable a few minutes after Isabella and I started talking. Isabella went home and Ansel walked me to my room while telling me one of his men would drop her off and that she would always be watched by his men which was creepy but understandable We stopped in front of a dark walnut, floor to ceiling door, with a single bronze handle. Ansel opened the door and I walked in after him. I don't know what I was expecting but this wasn't it. Charcoal velvet climbed the walls, the ceiling glowed amber, and the bed deep, ivory, layered in silk and mink, looked like it had never once been made in a hurry. A fur throw lay at its foot, carelessly placed in the way that only very deliberate men manage. Through the tall window, the neighbourhood had given itself over to evening, and he hadn't bothered to close the curtains. It wasn't all dark and gloomy it was beautiful and luxurious “You like?” Ansel asked and I nodded absentmindedly. “You can shower, if you want” Ansel said again. I nodded and waited for him to leave before removing my clothes and stepping into the en suite. I stepped into the shower, adjusted the water so that it could be warm. I grabbed a shampoo and I knew it belonged to Ansel by it's musky scent. I showered using his body wash which also smelled like him and was intoxicating. I breathed in, sighing in content at the intoxicating scent of Ansel on me. I left the bathroom, wrapped myself in a white fluffy robe and my hair with a matching towel. I padded softly into the room, entered the walk- in closet and realized how big and spacious it was. My room at home with the bathroom and all could fit into this closet. I noticed the presence of feminine clothes; lounge wears, nighties, corporate and casual outfit. I shrugged as I grabbed a baby blue pajama shorts and a white tank top Did I mention how big the closet is? Plus the fact that it has a dressing table? Well it does have a fully stocked dressing table. I applied lotion which smelt amazing and had a nice texture, sprayed perfume and applied lipgloss. Everything was new, even my current outfit was also new. They looked and smelt new. There were skin care products in the table. I took my time doing my normal skin care routine using some of the products. I stepped out of the closet and left the room, padding softly down the stairs to the kitchen to satisfy my hunger.
