Chapter 14

Jamies POV

Three days, she has been unconscious for three days. They found no trace of the would be kidnappers, no track or scent. This not knowing why they wanted my mate was terrifying. I have not mover from her bed side since Kelly finished cleaning her wound. The mist amazing part of it all is that Ashley had healed in the same day she was attacked. Kelly couldn’t figure out how. Most wolves would have needed a full 72 hours, Alphas need 24 depending on the wound. But not her, my mate was strong, mush stronger than I gave her credit for.

I drifted off to sleep at the sound of the beeping from the machine that told me her heart was still beating..   beep… beep….beep…. beep… beep….beep.. it went on like this for a while. I dreampt of her walking with the moon goddess, talking under a flowering tree. She looked at peace, but not at home. I tried to call out for her, to get her to turn around to see me, but nothing came out.

Beep.. beep..beep..beep..beep. I woke up, startled at the beeping.

“Kelly, come in here.” I yelled to her. Something wasn’t right, why is this bloody machine  going crazy?

“Jamie” a voice whispered my name. I was facing the door waiting for Kelly to enter. I swung my head around and Ashley was lying there, staring at me.

“Ashley, baby, your awake.” I didn’t realise I was crying until she wiped the tears from my face. I looked at her, touched her face to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. Then I noticed it, her eyes have changed. She looked at me bewildered.

“why are you looking at me that way?” she asked. “baby, your eyes… their silver, like your wolf.” I told her. She smiled at me trying to sit up. “I know, we have a lot to talk about Jamie.” I helped her sit up ad Kelly made her way in to check her vitals.

“everything looks good. Your wound has healed completely, although I don’t really know how” she said pinching her the bridge of her nose with her fingers.

“I do.” Ash told us. “would you like to know what happened to me while I was gone?” she asked with a smile on her face. I nodded and Kel took a seat on the chair in the corner. She began her tale, only pausing for water or food. By the time she was finished, Kelly was in tears in the corner and I must have looked like a fish with my mouth opened, starring at her. She leaned over and kissed me out of my daze. She giggled at my response.

“hey, “ I scolded her. “its nice to hear your laugh, it’s a sound I never thought I would get to hear again.” I admitted.

Ash glanced over at Kelly and Kelly left the room. Ashley grabbed my neck and drew me closer to her.

‘kiss me please’ she asked though her mind link. I did hesitate. I took her face between my hands and kissed her gently. “I never want to lose you, you are my world.” I confessed. I pulled her onto my lap and that’s where we stayed until Kelly came in with her discharge papers and told me to take her home.

Ashley POV

For the next few days, Jamie wouldn’t leave my side. I tried to tell him I was fine but he needed to see it for him self. we discussed the events that happened in my sleep and Jamie told me they couldn’t find the two wolves that attacked me. We knew who it was but again we couldn’t prove it. We stayed in our room and exercised together several times in several different place in the room since he brought me home. We were laying in bed together, watching some trashy love movie when I felt the pain… it began in my stomach, at first it was just discomfort. It quickly grew into seering pain. Jamie froze, he held in his breath and I curled up in to a ball on the bed.

“ahh, what the hell” I moaned as Jamie regained his control.

“baby, your going into heat.” He told me. I looked up at him to find him starring at me, still unmoved, but his eyes were pitch black. I groaned again, flipping myself to my back when he pounced on me. He kissed me, he was harsh and needy but sweet and loving at the same time. I threw my arms around his next and wrapped my legs around his waist pulling him on top of me. I started to grind my hips against him, needing to feel some friction. He pinned my hands above my head with one hand and his other grabbed my waist stopping me from moving.

“what are you doing?” I cried out.

“its your heat baby, im sorry, I didn’t mean too.” He told me..

“I want you to, please come back to me” I whimpered. i want my mate cried my wolf. It seemed like Jamie was fighting an internal battle of his won. His eyes flickering to black and back. “please” I begged him. “I need you” his eyes shot to mine, they were fully black. He let out a groan “stop begging me, I will lose all control I have on Ace and he will take over… if you really want to and want to stop this heat, then you need to mark me too” he released my hips but kept my hands pinned above my head. I started to grind against him again. I could feel his hard length coming through his shorts. He bent his head low and pulled my straps of my singlet off my shoulders using his teeth. His kissed my neck, sending me into a frenzy. I could feel the wet pool beginning to happen between my thighs. “let her take over” he said to me “ its ok, she will mark me and we will complete the mating, im ready baby.” He said to me. My eyes flashed to silver and I let my wolf take over. We began slowly, my wolf wanting to take in all of him. She soon picked up the pace, panting and moaning his name. Jamie sat up so we were chest to chest. ‘it’s the bond. Now we have become one’ he linked me. I smiled happy and content and drifted off to sleep.
