Chapter 15

After recent events, Jamie reluctantly decided to let me join in at training, after my constant saulking and whining. “fine, if it stops you acting this way, but you have to join the new fighters. No way am I letting you join the warriors until you can prove you belong there.” He told me. I was so excited that I tackled him to the ground, both of us laughing when we were interrupted by Brett. He didn’t knock, he just came straight in. I tried to climb off Jamie but he held me in place. “Alpha, Luna, im so sorry” Brett’s face turned bright red and he quickly turned his back to us. I could feel the laughter building in Jamie’s chest and the amusement he was getting out of this through out link.

“next time you should knock, don’t you think” Jamie told him. “yes Alpha.” Brett replied and he practically ran out the door. Not even two minutes later we heard a knock. Jamie sighed and released me from his chest, but not his grip. He sat on his chair at the desk and placed me on his lap.

“for goddess sake, just come in” I let out a small giggle and Jamie slapped my butt that was hanging over the side of his leg. I gasped and giggled again. A still very red face Brett walked into the office and took his seat. Brett took a deep breath and sighed.

 “Alpha, Luna… I really am sorry, I need to get used to knocking on this door.”

“what do you need Brett?” asked Jamie a little rudely I might add.

“we have had reports of a small pack of wolves heading here from other packs in our area. They should be here in two weeks, maybe a little longer.” Jamie let out a snarl. “WHY? WHY CANY THAT BLOODY BASTARD JUST LEAVE US ALONE?” Jamie roared. Now me, im getting used to his temper tantrums, but apparently before me, he never really had them… it makes me wonder if it is my emotions that are making him feel this way. Im guessing he knew what I was feeling because his grip tightened around my waist.

“I will be in the training yard shortly, we can discuss this there with the others” Brett rose from his chair, bowed his head and left us, closing the door behind him.

“As for you miss. Yes some of your emotions are crossing over to me, but then some of mine have already crossed over to you too, also before we head out to the training yard I need to ask you something.” He looked… shy? No not shy… oh, he looked embarrassed. “when you were with the moon goddess, did she tell you that I would gain some of your powers through our bond?” why would he be embarrassed about asking this? Unless he wants them and hasn’t got them?

“no she didn’t, but I didn’t really think to ask either… why are you asking?” I tilted my head to the side, watching his expressions before he answered.

“well, yesterday when you tried to run from me, but I caught you and tried to sit you on my lap.. do you remember that I couldn’t do it until you moved yourself? Your strength has grown, but just now I was able to pull you down to me even though you didn’t want to. Im just not sure if something is changing in me.. “ ah I get it now..

“well then Alpha, there is only one way to find out if you have my strength. Fight me!” I told him. “no” he replied. “I wasn’t asking. You will fight me.. here and now.” I said taking a swing at him. Hw dodged my attack and tried to hold my hands, but he couldn’t catch me. I was too fast for him. He would need to knock me down for him to win. “Ash, baby, I don’t want to hurt you.” I threw another punch, this time I was closer to my target. His eyes flashed a little black. “stop!” he commanded. “you can not command me Jamie, we are equals now. Lets test it so see how equal we are.” This time I faked to punch him and he dodged, instead I threw my leg out trying to connect with his knee and it worked. Jamie hit the deck causing him to cough out in surprise when he landed. He was down on the ground but I wasn’t showing mercy I went to kick him again. This time he saw it coming and grabbed my leg making me fall over too. By the time I hit the ground, Jamie had recovered and pinned me to the ground face first into to rug. He held my legs down with his and pinned my hands behind my back. I tried my hardest to break free, I fought and thrashed but I could not break his hold. When I finally stopped moving Jamie tossed me over. “are you finished?” he growled at me. He jumped off me, moved to his chair and didn’t even help me up. “what that hell was that Ash?” I demanded. I could feel his anger rising. “I didn’t wanna fight you, wat the f**k did you think you were doing?” he shouts. I picked my self off the floor, kept my head low and stuck my hands in my pockets. “i.. I ju..just wanted to help” I stuttered. Instantly I could feel his mood change from anger to regret. Before he could move I turned around and left him in his office. I didn’t want anyone to see me like this, I wanted to train but I guess today is not my day. I ran to my room and hid under the covers of my bed, I cried till I feel asleep.

When I woke up the sky was still blue but there was no sign of Jamie. I could feel him and his emotions. He was still a little angry, but mostly he was sad. I wanted to find him and tell him I was sorry for running out. We have only known each other for a little over a month. Finding where we fit together takes time. I got out of bed and headed to the kitchen. Paul was standing there with his mate Alice. You know that feeling when you walk in on an intimate moment and kill the mood. Thats what I just did. “hello Luna, can I get you something to eat, you missed lunch but there is plenty of food” Alice was a wonderful woman, she and Paul looked so happy and carefree together. “would you like a coffee too Luna?” I smiled “yes please, but when we are alone you can call me Ash you know” she smiled back at me and walked into the kitchen. Paul followed her in, kissed her goodbye I went back to training. Alice came back with a plate of pancakes and a coffee and placed them in front of me. I ate some of the pancake but found them too sweet. I had a sip of my coffee to wash it down but couldn’t swallow it. I covered my mouth and bolted upstairs to my bathroom. After I was finished being sick I thought it best to get checked out, but after today I didn’t want Jamie to worry about me so I decided to see Kelly on my own.

‘hey hun, are you in the clinic right now’

‘yep, just dealing with wolves and there egos on training days, whats up?’ her reply made me smile

‘im on my way to see you, im not feeling great ad I don’t want to worry Jamie, I will be right over.’

‘too easy, see you in a flash’ I made my way to the clinic stopping twice to empty my stomach along the way. When I walked in she barrelled over to me and took me into another room away from all the warriors.

“you look pale.. have you thrown up?” Kelly runs over to her desk and grabs her charts.

“yes, three times and only today, I also have some tightening around my stomach. Otherwise, I feel as healthy as a horse.” Kelly took some blood from me and gave me a tea to drink while we waited for my results. She sat down with her new chart, looking over her findings when her face went white.

“oh no, what is it? Am I really sick” I was worried it was going to be bad news. She looked up at me, took my hand and told me to mind link Jamie to see me when I was finished here… “Ash, your pregnant” I froze…

Pregnant.. that’s not what she said, was it? little pups cried my wolf. Babies… at my age…… this can not be happening…

Jamie came bursting through the door and into the office I was in. although I didn’t really notice him, at least not for a while. “Ash, are you ok? Baby, talk to me, I know we fought this morning and I was wrong to yell at you… please babe” but I couldn’t, right now I had no words for anyone. I looked at Kelly and she mind linked me. ‘do you need me to tell him?’ all I could do was nod.

“Jamie, Ash wasn’t feeling great after she slept so she wanted to get checked over, we took some blood and it turns out that she is pregnant.” Jamie turned to look at me. He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me to him. :oh, baby, that’s wonderful news” he was so excited, how could I tell him that I wasn’t?
