Jamie’s POV

What the hell has Kelly gone and got us into…

‘she is family, you should have gone after her 2 years ago’

Don’t start with me Ace.

Ace is my very loud wolf. Usually he makes his opinions very clear, but today he was different. He was bouncing from thought to thought and I could not keep up.

Will you stop that. I bellowed at him.

He just growled at me, smirked and left me be. I was changing my clothes from my training gear to something a little more formal to greet this new Omega. It didn’t have to be anything fancy. She was just going to end up work for my sister in our clinic anyway. But a thought washed over me. What does her voice sound like? Does she have pretty coloured eyes? I shook the thoughts from my mind and continued to put my pants on when I heard and mighty crash come from down the hall. “why cant people take more care of things in the pack house” I groaned as I left the room only half dresses and made my way to the room the sound came from. I passed for a minuet to realise that this is Ashley’s room. I knocked and waited for a minuet before I heard a sweet “come in” I opened the door to find a pale, slim, dark haired young lady leaning over a broken lamp. She was collecting the broken bits with her back to me and only in a towel. Her smell was amazing, it was like fresh chocolate and mint.

Mate… that’s our mate. Cried Ace. I took a deep breath and she froze. She dropped the collected bits of the lamp and slowly turned around to face me. She must have caught my scent. She rose from the floor and took me in. she looked me up and down, she seemed to be confused until something like realisation crossed her face. Then hell was unleashed. She picked up what was left of the broken lamp and threw it at my head. I was able to easily doge it and kept my eye on her.

“I know who you are!” she declared. “you are the son of the Alpha that murdered my father” she screamed at me. My heart stopped, she thought her father died at the hands of mine? I didn’t know where she got her information from but this girl needed to be told the truth.

“where is Kelly? How do you even know someone as kind and thoughtful as she is? You need to leave now!” she screamed at me. I crossed my arms and searched her eyes to see if she was serious and that’s when I noticed why she wanted me to leave. Her eyes had turned full black and her body was vibrating. She dropped to her knees and began to shake. This girl is shifting.. but, she isn’t old enough to shift.. I watched as she changed from a beautiful young woman into a pure midnight black wolf with piercing silver eyes. I have never seen a wolf with silver eyes before. I could tell she was as shocked as me that she had shifted and she tried to back away only to crash into the bookshelf knocking of four rows of books, causing more noise to be heard through the pack house. Soon we wouldn’t be alone.
