Zeke’s POV
In Zeke’s Study*
“Who is she?” I mumbled while rubbing my chin, mindlessly looking into the distance as if the woman would magically appear before me.
At first, she would magically appear before me in my room, but now she does it too when I am in danger or being attacked by rogues.
I leaned back and shook my head because it was unlikely. At first, how did she know I was there? And that strength…
I groaned because how did she even learn to fight like that? It was clear, that my Rave could never, she was so quick and efficient, hitting them where it would knock them out cold without killing them and only using her guns for the necessary as an act of defense.
It was as if she had just come from the military and was trained to become a stealthy soldier.
“Alpha?” Dmitri’s voice echoed through the room as he knocked and my brows bunched in annoyance, I gritted my teeth and clenched my fist knowing how much hearing that voice boils within me.
Yet I swallowed it down because it wasn’t the right time.
“Come in,” I replied, and soon, the door unlocked, revealing Dmitri’s white puppy face as he stepped into the office. I couldn’t miss the faint blush on his cheeks, which made me narrow my eyes.
Something happened.
“Did you interrogate the women quietly as I ordered?” I asked him, twirling the pen between my fingers, analyzing what next he would say with a quiet but rage-filled gaze.
“Well…” He awkwardly looked away scratching his head before he met my cold gaze and began sweating like a buffoon, “I asked Ravenna and…”
The blush crept up his neck and reddened more of his cheeks, and I felt my stomach churn from disgust. I glared at him which worked because he kept quiet immediately he met my gaze.
“You are not allowed to go to my niece's room,” I ordered him and he widened his eyes in shock, a flicker of annoyance and disobedience showed in his iris and I waited for him to speak but he pressed his lips into a thin line and forced it back.
“I heard you were attacked while on your way to the general meeting.” He diverted the subject and straightened his back finally remembering that he was supposed to be the beta here.
But if he had said one word, I would have grabbed him by the neck and twisted it until he could not heal anymore.
My brows relaxed as I looked away focusing my gaze on the clear skies outside, because if I kept looking at Mr. Dmitri here, I might lose myself and kill him on the spot. “I was saved by that masked woman again.”
“Wait really?” He gasped, a faint surprise in his voice but at the same time, it sounded like he knew she was going to show up, which made me glance at him.
“Don’t try to investigate Ravenna anymore, it’s not her.” I picked up one of the files that met for the pack finances and started skimming through it when Dmitri suddenly plopped on the chair in front of me.
“Why not, common, she should have at least seen something or heard something, she is the closest…”
“Dmitri.” I threatened in a low growl which worked because the pressure I put on him the next second made his face go pale with fright.
Yes, that is what I wanted. He should know his limits because Ravenna was mine forever and no one else.
Absolutely no one.
“Alright alright, I hear you.” He breathed out, once I lifted the pressure on him, relaxing my brow because I knew he would heed to it. Without saying anything else, he excused himself and left the room.
But I could breathe the malice he exuded as he left my office. A slight smile bloomed on my face as I watched him go.
‘Soon, Dmitri, very soon.’

At Ravenna’s Room.
The door opened to reveal her beautiful smile, and my heart skipped a beat just watching her for a second with a blank look on my face. I would never get tired of seeing her every single day.
Yet it wasn’t enough.
“What brings you here, uncle?” Her soft melting voice drifted into my ears as she tilted her head, and I was shocked back to reality as a warm smile bloomed on my face.
“Don’t be so formal with me, Rave.” I breathed out as I stepped forward, leisurely walking into the room. She permitted me to kiss her once again, so shouldn’t I take this to the next–
No! I shook my head drifting it away from that angle because there was no way I would let the same thing happen again.
“You are my uncle, how is it formal? Do you want me to call you Alpha Zeke?” She asked innocently as she closed the door after me and hugged me from behind but the title on her tongue jolted my memory to remember the masked lady.
I bit down on my lips and swallowed a huge lump of saliva as I slowly turned around and hugged Rave, her beautiful scent of wild roses drifted into my nose, and took a huge inhale of it.
It worked with clearing my head because the only person I could picture right now was the woman before me.
“Just call me Zeke, remember? I don’t want you calling me, Alpha or Uncle when we are together like this” I softly grazed my teeth along her ear watching her shiver from the sensation.
“N-noted.” She wriggled in my arms until she was free, “Well, Zeke. What brings you here?” She combed through her hair before running towards her bed when she noticed me advancing.
I chuckled in a low tone because that was the cutest thing I had ever since she had absolutely changed but somehow I liked her cute side. She no longer smelled like a newborn baby but of a wild rose that could kill with its thorns.
I am tempted to tip her to an edge and taste how dangerous she could be. But, I wanted to protect her, so there was no way I would allow her to do something bad.
Her honey-gold eyes were wild and expressive in asking me what was wrong despite her head tilting in curiosity. She then patted her side and I froze as my eyes darted to her bed. It was rare for her to invite me to her bed since I returned.
But I went to sit either way.
“So tell me, what is happening?” She sounded bubbly as if anything I would ever say to her would be anything exciting. Nothing is exciting in my life except this curse of mine that brings absolute danger instead of pleasure.
My mind flashed immediately with the image of that masked woman riding me in the car and I closed my eyes for a brief second to calm myself and pray to the goddess before blinking my eyes open again to stare into Ravenna’s bright eyes that were pleading that I start.
Her smile was so infectious I didn’t even know when I began but I coughed out a funny laugh, “Remember that woman who keeps appearing because of my curse?” I pursed and glanced at her and she nodded, “She reminds me of our forbidden relationship…” I paused again watching as her eyes glinted with a mysterious light before disappearing.
Maybe I saw it wrong.
“Why do you say so?” She asked, giggling because she knew our relationship could never be accepted since I was tasked to take care of her ever since my brother passed away, but what does it matter? I didn’t plan to fall in love with this beautiful lady.
And I didn’t expect her to fall in love with me too.
“She comes in a mask, f***s me, and then disappears. Yesterday, she saved my life, and it makes me feel useless and I fear that I am going to lose you…” The last part came out as a whisper but she could still hear it.
She sucked in a sharp breath, and before I could say anything more, she hugged me again, pressing a chaste kiss to my lips.
“There is something you don’t know, Uncle. I am always here, so you can never lose me…”
