Saphie's Worries

1578 Words
Zeke’s POV ‘GET IN HERE RIGHT NOW!’ I suddenly roared and my men rushed into the office, looking around for any threat. I knew they could smell the s*x in the air and were practically asking questions in their head because of my computer documents that were scattered across the floor, talking more about my dishevelled appearance, but I didn’t care. “Look for her right now! I don’t care if you comb the whole of Lycos. But you must find that b***h!” I commanded. “Yes!” They bowed and quickly left the office, knowing I would need a long shower to pump out all my seed and calm my raging arousal. **** Ravenna’s POV A Day After. I observed through my binoculars as my uncle's car sped away, followed by a procession of other vehicles. The occupants of the cars wore black suits, as if they were attending a clandestine meeting, rather than heading towards the heart of Lycos - Black City. I put down the device and remembered yesterday. My throat was sore from taking him all in, and I knew something was wrong. The Alpha I knew from my past life, my uncle, had become bigger. He still had the same scent but had gotten thicker and veiny, which surprised me. I don’t know why but ever since he had returned from that war the second time, he had been behaving strangely, and it made me ask if he noticed the change in me. Normally, I was meant to follow him on this trip but because I promised to take off the pack while he was gone, I didn’t go. But what could happen to the pack once I am gone? Catherine was no longer here, so there was no threat no drama. I walked towards my table and settled down, picking up my phone to peek at the footage of my uncle sitting in his car while working on his laptop. Despite causing him to break yesterday, he had the stamina to want to continue, I still wanted more but I didn’t want to have s*x with him yesterday. I wanted to tease him to stop having delusions, that he could find me when I was living inside his roof. Suddenly, I remembered something, minimising the footage and quickly calling a number. Me: “Am I speaking to Mr. Bright Wood?” Mr Bright: “This is him speaking, who is this?” A smile brightened on my face, knowing I got the number right, which meant it wouldn’t be long till I got what I wanted. Me: “This is Ravenna Valar, talking to you. Alpha Zeke’s Niece” I was proud to introduce myself this way and hoped to introduce myself as Mrs. Onis soon. Mr Bright: “What! Oh, my goddess! I apologise, Miss Ravenna. How may this humble servant help you?” I could feel the man shaking over the phone in fear, and I liked that effect. My uncle's status has always been known, and Catherine and I have always reacted differently to it. She has used it for bad, while I have used it for good - except for now. Me: “I will get straight to the point. I need to build a surveillance room in my room, someone told me that you are the best CCTV operator in town and I decided to reach out.” The man gasped as if he was about to tear out and I was dumbfounded, I peeled the phone out of my ears to check if it was still the same man I was talking to. Mr Bright: “I am readily available madam, as long as you have all the necessary equipment.” I hummed in satisfaction playing with the hem of my dress. Me: “That’s good. I will meet you at the train station when you arrive in Blue City.” I didn’t even wait for him to agree before hanging up the call, pressing the phone to my lips. My heart was beating fast knowing I was about to build something that would allow me to see my uncle through a large screen. I heard a knock on the door when I was about to go to my uncle’s office to review some documents that needed attention. I halted and furrowed my brows in confusion, “Who could it be?” I murmured, as I walked to the door, opening it to reveal Saphie and her little boy straddled on her hips. “Rave!! Oh, my little girl.” Saphie squealed, engulfing me in a tight hug, that I warmly received, her son gave me a warm smile showing his two bunny teeth and I ruffled his hair making him giggle. Once Saphie peeled herself away, she pulled my cheeks, “Tell me, What have you been up to all these days.” I winced in pain as his nails dug into my skin and tears pricked at the corner of my eyes, “Saphie!! Come in first and quit scolding me every time you see me.” I struggled, trying to pull her hand away as she walked forward kicking the door shut with the back of her legs. Her habit of treating me like a child frustrated me. I grumbled and complained until she released my cheeks and shoved me away. “Your sister, Catherine has been missing for days, and you are not even concerned! Did you do something child?” I froze and looked away as if Saphie had seen through me. She was the pack witch married to the pack’s gamma, there was nothing she couldn’t see. Our souls were a footage to her. I suddenly laughed, “She is a grown adult already, Saphie. Who knows where she had run off to? Wouldn’t it be good that she is no longer causing trouble?” I muttered under my rapid breath avoiding her gaze. “Are you telling the truth?” her voice was low and pressing. I turned my head to her, quite hurt at her interrogation. “Have you forgotten what she had done to me? The bruises she gave me, the near-death experience, without remorse? Her gaze softened, and she bit her lips, realising what her questions had caused, however, I glanced away once I noticed her extending her hands towards me. “Don’t be angry, Rave. I am sorry.” She apologised, her voice thick with regret. I was also warring at myself to prevent breaking down and sobbing in her arms. The person she was desperately looking for was at my mercy right now, with one call she would be a corpse for the rogues to feed on. I suddenly blinked and turned around to face Saphie who was sulking from her actions, smiling at her, I looked at her son. “Hey there! My little Daniel, won’t you speak to Aunty today.” I cooed, pinching his soft milky white cheeks gently. “Nana!” He babbled showing his teeth again and I quickly collected him from my mother, groaning at his weight. “What the hell, what do you feed this child, Saphie!” I chuckled not looking at her until she laughed and kneeled beside me. She didn’t look one bit like a mother but a young lady just entering puberty. “Daniel got his gluttony from his father, he is never satisfied!” I laughed amused, because she was telling the truth, Milan was a man who ate anything he saw, it always surprised me that he wasn’t obese but quite fit. But his stomach capacity was like a freezer. “You might want to beat your husband up to stop teaching Daniel to overeat!” I ruffled the little guy's silky brown hair and he smiled innocently at me as if he could understand me. “Trust me, it’s imbued in the blood. Sometimes it’s impossible to change a person so you let them be and let them experience the change from the results.” I froze at her comment as I remembered myself. If I hadn’t let Catherine walk over, things wouldn’t have ended that way in my past life. I didn’t realise my phone was ringing until Daniel tapped on my thighs to snap me out of my thoughts, “Your phone has been ringing,” Saphie informed me, and I quickly picked up the call without checking the call. But the next minute, I sprang to my feet. “What?” My heart was caught in my throat. This was exactly what I feared. I felt a chill run down my spine as I walked towards the door, “Speak, what happened?” Caller: “Boss, the rogues suddenly attacked and kept pouring no matter how much they fought, suddenly the Alpha fell to the floor with red veins pulsing on every part of his body.” My face fell and my blood ran cold. His curse! I thought yesterday would be enough to prevent an outbreak! I ended the call immediately, turning to face Saphie. “Sorry, Saphie. But I have an emergency.” Her mouth formed an “O” In surprise probably noticing my pale face. But I was out the door before she could even say anything. It didn’t take me a second to welcome the darkness again, ‘No one, absolutely no one could touch or kill uncle except me.’
