2. LOVE ME! “What the f**k Serah!” Polly was huffing and puffing in anger as she touched where Serah had just slapped her. As if it would be less painful. “I love Charlie and he loves me too, okay? So how about you mind your own f*****g business Polly?” Serah snapped through gritted teeth before she stormed off, momentarily flipping her hair dramatically. Polly knew Serah was admittedly right. She shouldn’t be too quick to judge. She should not even have said something as insensitive as that. Maybe she deserved that slap, to give her a reality check that she needed to mind her own business. One thing was certain though and that is, she was jealous of her younger sister. She was jealous that Serah actually had something real with someone even though it had to be in secret. On her case though, she remained the unlucky one. She was left with longing and hoping that maybe one day Logan would actually see her and get to know that she loves him more than anything else in the world. She wanted to know how it feels to be in love. She wanted to have a taste of what Serah had with Charlie. Serah was alwaya happy but as for her, she only spent her days craving that Logan will eventually notice her. She wanted to feel loved and cared for just like Serah. She wanted to know how to fall in love with someone and have them love you back just as equally. She wanted to wake up in the morning to a beautiful text a morning kiss and sleep knowing that she had a man in her life. She wanted to go on dates, cuddle and even have pillow fights but cupid seemed to have denied that. Up till date, despite being the eldest daughter in the Sloans' family, she had never been in a relationship. Polly watched her sister leave before she walked back into the house. Tears had formed at the slit ends of her eyes but she pulled them back. She deserved the slap from Serah and that means that there is no need cry. “There you are,” Her mother called her right before she walked into her room. “Mother, “She forced a smile so that her mum would not tell that she was at the verge of crying. The last thing she’d want was for her mother to see her in tears. Her mother can switch to being a b***h and making her life difficult and that is the least thing that she wanted to deal with right now. Her mother was dressed fashionably in a blue maxi length dress and black strap heels. Her dark wavy hair was too long this time, almost getting to her ass. Judging from the attire she hard worn, that meant that she was definitely going out and who knows where. “I’m heading out for a cup of coffee with Naomi,” Her mother stated with a wide smile gracing her lips. For starters, Naomi Diaz was her best friend. in fact, she is Logan's mother. Since their mother's were friends, Polly was able to meet and fall in Love with Logan during the play dates that they had planned for them. “Do you want me to tag along?” Polly asked with her fingers crossed. She had this feeling that maybe Logan would be with her mum and once their mother's start talking about their issues, she will be left with Logan. That way, he will have to talk to her and even look closer at her and in the end, he will find out that she had been in love with him for so long. “Do you want to?” Her mum was very much accommodating. How nice. This actually once a year. As I mentioned earlier, she can be a very bad mother at times. “Yea, I would love to. Besides, there is nothing for me to do at the house. I will be bored staying here by myself ,” Polly said hoping that after the tea with those wonderful women, she would be okay. “What do you mean bored, where is your sister?” Her mother was quite concerned. She always wanted to be involved in her daughters lives so much and when Polly said that she would bored really got her thinking. She had heard this stupid rumour that Serah was dating a nobody and she hoped that, that was not the case. She would never allow that no one in her house. Never! “She left for a group discussion, “Polly defended her sister. Her mother despised all this men with no wealth and she didn’t want to put her sister in trouble. Her mother hated the poor with so much intensity and if she had the power to wipe all of them out, she would never hesitate. “Okay, fine,” Her mother arched her lips upwards. “Put on something nice and let’s get going. We would not want to keep Naomi waiting,” Her mother prattled and Polly did as she had been asked. *** Serah drove to Charlies place as she listened to her go to hit, savage. Her sister had pissed her off and she hoped that she would get this out of her head by the time she met Charlie. She wanted to be in a good mood when she was with Charlie. She decided to let things go, besides, she had made things clear to Polly concerning her obsession in wanting to know of everything that is going on in her life. She hoped that this will be a lesson to her and that she will never something bad about Charlie. Charlie is a good guy. She loved Charlie and Charlie loved her. Nothing mattered more than that. Her world revolved around Charlie and nothing anyone said would change her mind about him. Her heart was sealed. She parked in his neighborhood before stepping outside the car. She looked around hoping that no one would vandalize her car. The neighborhood was not exactly the safest place. She had been begging Charlie to move out and after that, she would cater for his bills in a bigger house in a much safer neighborhood but Charlie proved to be adamant. She had to deal with his choice though. This is what love makes people do . Compromise with their lovers wishes. She thought all about this as she walked to his Studio apartment. One she was at the door, she raised her hand, rapping her knuckles against the door and barely three second later, the door flung open to reveal Charlie. “Hey babe,” She purred with a smile plastered all over her face. Nothing could describe the happiness vibrating through her better than the smile on her face. He pulled her against him, enveloping his huge arms around her lithe body. Heat rose from Serah’s stomach to her chest, enveloping her entire body. His lips inched closer, her stomach curling in excitement with the butterflies performing a wild inside as her heart picked up speed. She parted her lips and felt him washing over like a wave of warmth, curling her toes, unfurling all her senses as the taste of him nearly silenced all thoughts. She wanted more than just a kiss. They were kissing like crazy. Like their lives depending on it. His tongue slipped inside her mouth, gentle but demanding, and it will be nothing like she ever experienced, and suddenly Serah understood why people describe kissing as melting because every square inch of her body dissolved in his. Her fingers gripped his hair, pulling him closer. His veins throbbed as his heart exploded. They wanted each other, more than anything else in the world. *** Polly, Mary and Naomi walked into the JAVA CAFÉ. Mary was Polly's mum. “ I forgot to mention this darling."Naomi told Polly. "What?"Polly asked kindly. " I love that dress,” Naomi complimented her as they took their seats “Thank you so much,” Polly said with a smile plastered on her face. She was happy that Naomi loved her for this gave her so much hope. A hope that maybe, her son will love her back. “We need more grapes for our dinner,” Naomi pointed out. “Dinner?” Polly was in shock. Were they going to have dinner? This meant one thing and that is that, she is going to meet Logan tonight and who knows if the two of them might fall in love. “Yes my dear, our families are meeting. We have something special that we have to share with you kids,” Naomi announced and Polly couldn’t wait. Her heart fluttered at the mere thought of seeing Logan. “When will the dinner be?” Polly was quite inquisitive. “Tonight,” Naomi announced and Polly was all over the top. She was so excited for this. Finally, there was another moment to spend being around Logan. “Come on, help us with our plans for tonight. What type of wine do you young stars love?” Mary asked her daughter Polly. *** Back in Charlie’s studio apartment, Charlie made love to Serah as if it was their last time doing this. As she lay on his chest, her naked body pressed against his, he stroked her hair, A part of him felt that it was the last time but he didn’t know why. He was still in doubts. The two of them had been dating for the past three years and he had never met her parents. Charlie had done everything. He introduced her to his parents long ago and made sure that Serah had no doubt of everything between them. On his part was the constant sack of doubt gnawing at his chest. He didn’t understand why she didn’t want him to meet her parents. Every time he hinted on the subject, she’d brush it off or change the subject. He was worried that maybe she was ashamed of him because he was not rich or perhaps, her parents did not want him marrying their daughter. These thought tortured his mind, the wheels turning around. “Are you okay babe?” Serah questioned, noting the deep frown accentuating his face. “I want to meet your parents tonight. No more excuses Serah, I want to meet them tonight!” Charlie gave the orders. He was tired of feeling like he was the only one committed in this relationship. “What?” Serah questioned, taken aback by Charlie’s tone. What exactly did he mean by wanting to meet her parents tonight? He could not possibly be talking about…oh God no! Her cheeks paled up. “Don’t even try to come up with an excuse Sarah. I’m meeting your parents tonight and there is no way you are getting out of this,” he snapped in a decided tone.
