Dante’s eyes continued to return to the crowd, desperately searching for any sign of her with every minute that had passed. He didn’t like this, being separated from her. Never before had he felt this protective of a woman. But Alexa, she did something to him, something that he could not even begin to explain. He was having trouble keeping up his end of the conversation and after several attempts at trying to focus, he decided to take a walk to go and look for her. Excusing himself from the conversation, the billionaire began to stride along, making his way through the conversing crowd of guests. “As I live and breathe, Dante Romano…” The sudden feminine voice caused him to halt in his place, his eyes closing as he tried to remain somewhat calm by this unexpected and clearly unwanted
