"Cousin Claudiuis, you didn't tell me that the engagement between you two would be dissolved," Donyale said in shock, his bushy eyebrows raised with surprise.
"I didn't think that it would be polite to talk about it before anything official had been announced," he says with a long, drawn out tone.
"And yet you bring it up at breakfast," Meada scoffs slightly, stabbing her food with her fork a bit too harshly.
"How uncouth of me. You would never stray from social politeness, would you, dear Princess?" he says with a bit of a bite to his voice.
An awkwardness settles over the breakfast table. As I wonder if I should say anything to help dissolve the tension, to my surprise, those option boxes pop up again.
