When I get back to my room, Prince Claudius bows slightly before walking away, telling me that he will see me at breakfast. I stand there for a moment before opening my door, only to see a distressed maid pacing through my room.
"Your Highness! Where have you been? You gave us such a scare," she cries as she rushes over to me, though her face falls and she bows her head quickly. "I apologize, ma'am. You just have never not been in your chambers before, and after the incident yesterday, it gave us all quite a fright."
"No need to apologize. Your concern is understandable, and I appreciate you expressing it," I say as I see another woman come from my bathroom and notice one on the other side of my bed.
