For the next three days, Aubrey has refused to go outside of the house.
“Is Mum going to be okay?” Miles asked, as he curled into my arms with his math homework which I was helping him with.
“Of course, your mother is a strong woman. She is just shaken up a bit.” I answered him while stroking his hair gently.
“I miss her.” he pouted.
“Me too, son.”
Of course, I miss her but she needs time to process everything that happened, a near-death experience is not something one can overcome immediately.
