Ace is Ackerman.. but it doesn’t make sense. Ace would have been sixteen then, there is no way Mum was referring to him.
“Aubrey?” Ace tried to reach for me but I slowly pulled away from him.
“Ackerman? Was that you? The person my mum asked me to find, was it you?” I asked anyway, I knew it wasn’t him but I asked anyway.
He bowed his head and shook it.
