I sat there, looking at the tall guy that walked in. Xavier.
He wore golden-lens glasses. He wore a black suit with a white shirt, standing elegantly as he loosened the first two buttons of his shirt.
His gaze was turned to the detective who was speaking to me.
“Hello, you must be Detective Josh. I got the news and got here as fast as I could.” Xavier reached out his hands to shake Josh.
Josh stood there, looking at Xavier’s hands without taking it.
“Sorry, I have a rule not to shake hands with criminals.” Josh blurted, disregarding his hands.
Of course, Josh is the only officer who would do a thorough background check on everyone involving a case, that’s how he got on my case too, I’m not surprised he did his findings on Xavier.
