Noah’s POV After putting Daisy back to bed, I refill the empty glass beside her with water and leave her to sleep before heading back downstairs to ring her assistant chef, Laurence, and let him know what happened. I wanted to talk to her, ask her about last night, was it just comfort? Did it mean to her what it meant to me? What does this mean for us going forward for us? . . . I can’t though, she’s too dizzy, to tired and needs to rest, our talk can come later. First, realising I haven't contacted my mother this morning, I fire off a quick text with an update, saying that Daisy is fine and that I will call her later after the cafe owner wakes up, before pocketing my own phone and heading back downstairs again.
