Chapter 2 “The cream one looks much more better.” A cream dress was handed towards me. Sighing, I walked in the dressing room. This had been the 20th time I had walked in here. ‘Please, let this dress be the one’ Wearing the dress, while silently pleading, for my mother to accept this one. After changing I walked out the room. I saw my mother sitting at the chair elegantly just like before. Her eyes scanned me from head to toe. She then smiled and placed down her tea cup. Standing up and walking towards me, with such a soft smile. “You look like an angel, darling. Just like a real princess.” “Thank you, mother.” “Now go, change into what your wearing earlier.” ‘Thank God.’ Walking in again the small room, I changed in my former clothes. After I took it off, I folded it neatly. Walking out the room, I saw my mother talking to one of the servants. When she noticed me near by. She signed me to walk towards her, which I did. “Please, give this to Agnes. Tell her to take extra care for this dress. Also, tell her I said hi.” “Yes, her highness.” The servant looked at me as I handed her the dress. She then bowed to us and turned her back. As she waltz out the room, all I did was to stare at her back. “Darling.” My attention, was now at my mother. She was looking at the scroll in her hands, scanning it. “Would you like to come with me? I'm meeting your father and Papá in the Counsil room.” “I would polite say no, mother. I would like to take a small walk at the garden.” “Very well.” “I'll be going now.” Bowing my head slightly, I smiled at her. “If you need me, I'll be at the garden, mother.” She returned the smile and we both parted our ways. Walking in the silent halls of the castle. I reached the garden. Sitting at the seat near the pond, I stared at the sky. “The Lantern Festival is tommorow.” “I hope it won't rain tommorow” The sky is gloomy, it looks like rain will drop, any minute now. Sighing my head in displeasure, I stood up and walked to the path I took. “I thought I could stay for a little while. But it looks like the rain will pour any minute now.” When I reached the hall, where the council room is placed. My foot steps are echoing through the hall. I stopped infront of the door, then rain started to pour. I was about to knock on the door, but my hands had halt. “It is dangerous for Lady Reina to be out there tomorrow!” “There are many guards patrolling around the whole festival. What's the worst that could happen!?” “This will help her, Counselor Vero. She needs to start with something, she can start with the speech at the Lantern Festival.” “No! You saw the threats that the palace had been receuv–” “Lady Kala....” “Uh, yes?” Facing the servant that had called me. She bowed her head and looked me. “Your sewing session will start soon milady. Lady Alia is waiting for you.” “Yes, thank you.” She bowed down and started to walk, all I did was to follow her. She led me at the sewing room. When she opened the door, I was met by a lady. “Auntie” she looked at me and stood from her seat. She opened her arms wide, signaling me to hug her. Which I did. “I miss you Auntie” “I miss you too, sweetheart” We broke the hug and sat down. One of the servants, walked in and placed a set of tea. While Auntie Alia gave me the sewing materials. “So, how was your day?” “It was good, auntie. I accepted Mother's offer about the speech, tomorrow.” “I heard of it. I'm happy for you, sweetheart.” I looked at her and smiled a little. “But, may I ask why do you look sad?” “Well, I don't quite know, auntie. Earlier, I was infront of the Council room. Outside, I heard them arguing about my safety.” “Aw, Sweetheart. It's okay. All they want is for you to be safe.” She place a hand above my own. “That's why a kingdom has a Council sweety. They both state their own opinion. It can't be of help to not argue in that kind of situation. All in all, in the end, everything will be okay. They will talk it out, and agree on one solution.” Smiling at her and nodding my head. She shook her head while smiling at my action. We continued to do our lesson. While doing so. Auntie is telling me stories and explaining knowledgeable stuff on me. But most of it is her stories and adventures. I'm really thankful that Auntie Alia is here. She always knows what to say and do. Not to mention, that I'm comfortable with her. Auntie Alia, is such a beauty. She has green eyes and hazel nut hair. Her height was fine and a firm body. She has a beautiful smile, that fits perfectly with her presence. Alia Elizabeth K. Lichaeuse The 5th Princess of Haliaesa Kingdom. The 5th daughter of King James and Queen Thea of Haliaesa Kingdom. Mother's youngest sibling and the coolest one. The people of Haliaesa Kingdom, gave her the name ‘The Runaway Princesss’. She was the second princess who broke the rules. She was the first one to runaway and fought for her passion. She traveled around the world and built her own name. Lastly, she was the only sibling that isn't married to royalty. She was a young maiden, waiting for her true love to come. But it's quite taking to long to arrive. “Reina!” I bolted at my seat when Auntie suddenly shouted. Eyes widened, I looked at my aunt. She was smiling at me widely. “Yes, Auntie?” “Let's take a photo.” Giving her a questioning look. She sighed and stood up. Reaching for her bag and taking something in there. After that, she said infront of me. “When I was travelling around. I bought a camera, which is quite expensive” She stated and showed me a camera. “Smile, Reina” She pointed the camera at me. All I did was to smile and closed my eyes. I heard a shutter sound and an engine sound. Opening my eyes. I looked at her and she was staring the camera. Looking at it too, I saw a paper going out the bottom. After a few second the engine sound stopped. Auntie looked at me and took the paper out. She moved his hands and after that she handed it over to me. It was me. It was a photo of me. “Now, look at the camera Reina!” She placed her arms around my shoulder and pulled me closer. Bringing the camera up, infront of us. I smiled and heard a shutter sound. “I will treasure this, sweetheart.” I smiled at what she said. It was our first photo, together, only us. “We look beautiful. Young maidens, waiting for their true love.” “Auntie, I'm not waiting for my true love. I'm too young.” “Sweety, you're 18. Eventually, you'll find a prince that can make your heart flutter.” I shook my head with a smile. “But, I wish to find my true love first, before you do.” Shaking my head while chuckling. “Auntie, I can feel your true love is right by the corner. I know that you will find it soon enough.” “Thank you for your kind words sweety. Now let me look your work.” Time flew fast and I am walking aunt to one of the rooms. The rain is still pouring hardly, that had left her stranded here. Earlier, she wanted to leave. Saying that ‘It's just rain sweetheart, no mere rain can stop your aunt.’ Even though I said it was dark outside and it's dangerous to travel at night. She said. ‘Sweet, no mere danger can stop your Aunt’ After persuading her to stay. Saying that I miss her and I want to spend much more time with her. She said. ‘No mere rain and danger can stop Alia Elizabeth K. Lichaeuse. But she was stop by her favorite niece. Goodness.’ “Auntie, I will change into my night dress and clean up. But I'll be back, I want to sleep with you.” “Sure thing sweety. I'll clean up and change also.” Waving my hand at her before closing the door. Walking down the hall, towards my room. I was passing by the living room. When I heard a faint voice. “Tomorrow the girl will die.” Eyes widening, I felt my stomach turn. Wanting to look at the person, I slowly walked towards the living room. But was stopped at my tracks. I felt a had was placed on my shoulder that made me tense up. Looking at the owner, I saw it was Drew. Father's trusted butler. “Lady Kala, it's time for your bath. The servants are waiting for you in your room.” “Goodness. Please don't do that again. It might be the cause of my death.” “My apologies.”
