Difficult Decisions Part One

(Mihawk’s POV)

Sienna would of killed me if she found out I sent Nami to a marine base to get some sort of update but I knew the little orange firecracker would be alright she was stealthy and an excellent cat burglar, but with the World Government stripping the Warlord title, I became nervous for Sienna’s safety. She was no longer just Shanks’ weak point, she became mine too - she could be used to take us all down making her a prime target, within my thoughts I heard the Nami’s voice over the Den Den Mushi and just as I thought… my suspicions were confirmed the marines were targeting Sienna.

She was a key connector to myself, Shanks, Buggy, Zoro, Nami, Luffy - and even more, I could hear Sienna and Hawk giggling downstairs too occupied in their game to realise what was going on. Sienna’s words came back to my head about how she didn’t want to be turned - how she valued her humanity… but my worries clouded my better judgement.

Before I knew it I was raking through the cupboard of the kitchen trying to find anything that I can use to my benefit - since the marines had attacked Kuragiana island we have all been staying with Buggy- despite Sienna’s protests…

That’s when my eyes landed on the black liquid… poison - if I could get her to drink this maybe then she’ll let me turn her but then it also means I’d be tricking her… she did say under no circumstances should she ever be turned unless she was dying…

“Sorry Sienna…”

I muttered as i tilted a few drops into a small glass before filling it with her favourite wine at this point I was desperate. I could lose her… I never want to lose her!

As I walked through to see Sienna tickling Hawk I started to feel a heavy force in my chest as I handed her the glass

“Here you go my dear”

She was caught off guard but took the glass regardless as Hawk stared up at me before looking at the glass, the terror in his eyes told me he knew what was contained in that glass of wine while Sienna took a sip making Hawk cry and try to take the glass away from her which Sienna didn’t let him do.

My features softened as I saw Sienna’s skin start to pale as she started to scratch her throat and cough which made Hawk cry even more catching the attention of Shanks… I didn’t want it to go this far- I really didn’t want Shanks involved!

“What’s wrong with Sienna?” Shanks queried as he picked up Hawk to soothe him but all the little one did was reach for Sienna.

“Take Hawk somewhere else Shanks…”

I pulled Sienna into my arms but she got worse starting to gasp for air, her eyes widening in shock, she couldn’t speak which I was thankful for but Shanks on the other hand looks pissed

“Hawkeyes what did you do?!”

“GO INTO ANOTHER ROOM!”

I shouted hearing Hawk wail for Sienna but finally Shanks left grudgingly making me thankful for my power to compel others to do as I say.

Sienna was now silently crying I could feel her heartbeat slowing down and her body weaken in my grasp… it’s now or never.

“Forgive me Sienna”

My fangs elongated and pierced into Sienna’s neck, I had tried to drain her before but she dislodged my fangs and was pissed at me for weeks but now she can’t fight back, her blood flooded my mouth, the sweetest thing I’ve ever tasted, it was like a drug, an addiction of mine and my lord was it better fresh from her veins, I couldn’t contain myself but right now I had to remain focus, I felt her fall limp in my grasp and that’s when I bit in harder releasing my venom to penetrate her veins.

I checked her pulse to make sure she was definitely dead before feeding her my blood, I couldn’t f**k this up and have her die on me.

I kept a tight hold of her looking for any sign it had worked, I started to get worried when it has been nearly an hour and there was no signs, that’s when I felt her chest contract under my hand allowing her to breathe once again, a sigh of relief left my lips… it worked. I stroked her hair and heard Hawk finally stop wailing as he’s done so for the past hour - he must sense Sienna returning.

I nuzzled into Sienna’s neck seeing the bite on her neck heal as I waited for her eyes to finally open.

Within minutes bright red eyes looked up at me with the softest fleck of yellow which was unique but before I could admire it more she flung me across the room and away from her.

“Sienna wait I can explain!”

She was pissed I could sense it through the bond being created between us, if her heart was still beating her blood would be boiling hot with the anger she’s feeling.

“YOU POISONED ME!”

She yelled as I put my hands up in surrender trying to get her to calm down and stop being so hostile.

“Sienna I did it for a reason! Believe me darling I wouldn’t have gone against your words unless it was absolutely necessary!”

“YOU TRICKED ME!!” She shouted back only for my tone to darken, if she won’t listen to me calmly she’ll listen to me a different way, after all I’m her sire.

“Tricked you? No I saved you!”
