Chapter 5 Atlanta, GA Charles PHILIP AND I were awakened the next morning by sounds of distress coming from the nursery monitor. We got up, pulled on shorts and tees, and went next door to take care of things. Both babies were soiled and hungry, and I got Mark changed, fed, and back to sleep before Philip had finished taking care of Steven. “It’s almost six thirty,” I said. “I’ll go wake up the guys while you finish here.” He nodded in agreement, and I went down the hall. I looked into our old room, now Steve’s room. Steve and Jeff were snuggled up together in the middle of the bed, so I went in the room and tapped Steve on the shoulder. Then I said, “Steve, it’s six thirty. If you guys wake up now, you have time for a quickie before you get dressed. Breakfast will be ready by seven.”
