Rhea had a feeling she knew the reason they were being treated like Barbie-dolls, Bella was first up and was given an A-line styled dress in an emerald green, Alice was currently doing her hair.
She looked beautiful and she was sure Charlie agreed.
Her and Bella’s bedroom might be small, but Alice had brought enough with her to make some make-up artists cry in envy.
“Bella’s done,” Alice said.
“So pretty,” Rhea said.
Bella’s hair was done in a beautiful braided bun, along with a natural make-up look that made her brown eyes pop.
“Rhea’s turn,” Alice said.
“What is going on?” Bella asked.
Rhea grinned, they had missed the Spring Dance and tonight was the porm. She knew that Bella didn’t pay attention to that, she had already scared Taylor off and she still hasn’t forgiven him for almost running Bella over.
“You’ll see,” Alice said.
Rhea accepted the dress bag from Alice, she stared at the periwinkle blue Cinderella-like ball dress with silver kitten high heels.
“Help?” Rhea asked.
“Of course,” Alice said.
Bella had a simple black Greek-style sandles.
Rhea couldn’t wait to see how long it took Bella to work out what Alice was planning, her reaction would be highly amusing.
But wait? she thought. Bella would be going with Edward... then why was she getting dressed up, wait, why was Alice not getting dressed up?
She thought she would be all over this event, it was right up Alice’s alley.
Without saying anything, she sat down to allow Alice to play with her hair, it was pulled into a curly half-up and down style.
“Edward’s here,” Charlie said knocking on the door.
Bella’s mouth dropped.
Rhea couldn’t laugh because Alice was putting eye shadow on her.
“Prom,” Bella said.
“Come in,” Alice said.
“Doesn’t Bella look beautiful?” Rhea asked the moment the door opened.
Charlie and Edward staring at Bella.
“She’s always beautiful,” Edward said.
“And Alice knows what she’s doing,” Rhea said nodding, before grinning, “it’s easy to work with someone who’s already pretty.”
“Very funny, Rhea,” Bella said putting her arm through Edward’s elbow.
“You figured it out, Rhea?” Alice asked.
“Prom,” Bella said, “wait, Alice, why aren’t you getting ready?”
“I’m not going,” Alice said grinning, “I’ve been to proms since I joined the Cullen’s, it’s Rhea’s turn.”
“She hasn’t been to any,” Bella said.
“Nor have you,” Rhea said.
“Oh, Rhea’s going with Jasper?” Bella asked grinning, nodding, “Edward let’s go.”
Once Charlie, Bella and Edward left Alice stood in front of her.
“That’s not the reason you’re going with Jasper,” Alice said cupping her face, “Edward’s the only one to know that I saw you before we moved to Forks.”
“Then why?” Rhea asked.
“Nico and Will were right,” Alice said before kissing her.
Rhea kissed her back, letting Alice pull her from her chair and hug her lightly to her body.
“We’d like to date you,” Alice said, “Jasper would like to date you.”
“I’d like that,” Rhea said returning Alice’s hug.
“Now let me make you the prettiest girl at the prom, I had to stop myself thinking that with Edward around, the party popper,” Alice said, “he would disagree with me.”
“And I’m sure Emmett would also disagree,” Rhea added, “and Rosalie.”
“Just remember to have fun,” Alice said.
Rhea nodded, before giggling, “it’s a good thing, I’m not wearing any lipstick.”
“We’ll just have to buy kiss proof,” Alice said.
“Jasper’s here,” Charlie said opening the door, “you look beautiful.”
“She does,” Jasper said.
“Just five more minutes and she’ll be done,” Alice promised.
“Charlie and I can talk about hunting until you’re done,” Jasper suggested.
“I’ll escort her down,” Alice promised.
“Thank you,” Rhea said, “Bella might complain, but this is one of the best nights of my life.”
“With many more to come,” Alice promised fixing her make-up, “let’s go before they get to carried away in their conversation.”
