The Elevater- Part One
"Where on earth are we?" Indigo asked her friends, who were standing there in just as much shock as she was.Where had been a big shopping mall, was now a complete forest. "Have I had too many cans of cider?" Jacob asked "Nah' mate we're definitely standing in a freaking forest" Toby replied completely bewildered. "But...Where did the mall go? I really want to get my new sweater" Silver huffed frustrated as she had, had her eyes on it for a month now and today was the day she could actually purchase it. "I don't think the sweater is our biggest concern right now" Jacob pointed out, looking at Silver, "In case you haven't noticed" he sarcastically added. "Maybe not to you" She grumbled. The ground started to tremble under their feet. "You're joking right?" Toby remarked, "Now a flipping earthquake" he stated clearly unamused by the situation they had stumbled across. "Um...guys" Indigo said "Could only happen to us" Jacob replied "Guys" Indigo shouted, trying to grab their attention, "RUN" she yelled, running right past them. "Why?" Silver questioned "Usually we run first, ask questions after" Jacob told her, he ran after Indigo and Toby, reluctantly Silver followed. "I'm not even in running shoes" she complained, looking down at her high heels. Nobody heard her, as they were quite far ahead of her. Once they felt they were in a safer place, they stopped running, realizing the ground had stopped shaking beneath them. "Oh no..." Silver muttered "What's wrong? Are you hurt?" "No...But my heel is" She stated, showing him her broken shoe. "Oh...Is that all?" He responded with a lot less concern. "It's ok guys, we've just found our weakest, she'll definitely be eaten first" Jacob teased. "Eaten, what do you mean eaten?" "Oh...I don't know how to break it to her" Indigo stated "It's ok. She can handle it, she's more concerned about her shoes and sweater" Toby sarcastically responded. "Well Silver, were all trapped in dinosaur land"Jacob explained not breaking the news gently. "What do you mean dinosaurs? Don't be ridiculous" Silver laughed, she noticed all their facial expressions were serious, "No way, this is a joke right?" "No!" They all said in unison. "So, how do we get back to the shopping mall?" She asked, " I don't want to be on the dinosaur menu" she quickly added "I doubt he'd want you on it either" Toby teased, she stuck her tongue out at him in response. "All we did was go up the elevator, so technically we need to walk straight back into the shopping mall" Jacob analysed "That unseen gate could be anywhere in this huge forest." Toby remarked "We need to get back before the shop shuts too" Silver pointed out. Still thinking about the sweater and the need for some new shoes now too. "Guess we'd better start looking then." Indigo stated, not feeling very sure they were going to find it. It was taking them ages to find their way out of the forest. Dodging dinosaurs and running around like crazy people coming up without the result they were after. Silver had to sit down and rest a lot more than the others, as she was having to walk around bare foot and kept hurting her feet on the broken twigs, all the others kept hearing was her saying, "ouch, yikes, I need some shoes" over and over again a long side a whole lot of complaining. They were still looking when Toby called them all over, "I've found it" he smiled, smiling ear to ear. Without any arguments, they all walked in. Yay! We're back" Silver announced doing her victory dance, "Look there's my sweater and there still open" she smiled, she headed towards the shop, as she walked towards it she disappeared right in front of them. "She's gone again Jacob announced "Yup" Toby replied, shaking his head "Maybe she should forget that sweater" Indigo said "So, do we go in and rescue her?" She added "No!" The guys said together "We can't just leave her in there, she would never make it out by herself." Indigo reminded them. "Maybe grab the sweater and shoes first, but avoid the gate" Toby suggested "Guess that means we're going in there then" he added and ran into the newsagents. "It wasn't long before the other two returned to Toby and heard the way Silver had walked, to start their next adventure. The Elevator - Chapter two "Nooo!" Silver screamed out loud as she saw where she was again. "Guys" she added worry in her voice she looked behind her, she took a step backward realising that this time they weren't with her. "Great!" She grumbled, annoyed, not to mention she had been so close to getting her sweater again with no luck, it was starting to deeply annoy for her. Turning back around she took in her surroundings, just one look told her this forest had been growing a long time, noticing the trees were a lot taller here. The leaves on the ferns seemed larger and thicker than the ones back home, the ground was covered with cycads, gingkoes and conifers. The trees were a lot more woody than Silver was used too, she recognised the pine trees and palm trees, she couldn't help wonder why palm trees didn't grow in the forests today. "Will have to ask Toby when I get back" she said to herself. "If I get back" she added suddenly feeling a little afraid, being on her own didn't really make her feel comfortable. "Ouch" She moaned as she trod on another twig, she carefully moved herself towards the tree that had fallen down, and sat herself down on it crossing her legs she did some of her breathing exercise, the feeling of the panic of not getting back and the shops being closed was starting to course her great stress. "So, where is she?" Indigo said looking around in a circle, they had returned to the forest in search of their friend. "No way, that must mean the doorways move" Jacob sighed, "Which means it's not going to be a simple return back." he added "Course it wouldn't be" Toby muttered less impressed. "That means we could be searching forever then" Indigo guessed rolling her eyes. "Or she could have been here, just isn't now" Toby suggested. "Told you, she would be first to be eaten didn't I" Jacob pointed out frowning, he had only been joking when he had said that, but right now it was seeming quite likely. "Yeh' I'm starting to feel sorry for her" Indigo stated, feeling worried about their friend, who really wasn't an outdoor kind of person, unless there was some sort of party going on, she preferred shopping, fashion and parties. Whereas Indigo herself was interested in the great outdoors, she loved the environment and was into all things green. Although both girls were completely different they had been friends from quite a young age, now twenty-four, their friendship hadn't really changed, they had just gained two extra friends that they liked to hang around with from the local bar where they all worked, they had all been working together for four years now and their friendship between each other had only grown stronger and stronger with each passing day. "Guess we should start looking" Toby suggested. "Looking for a needle in a haystack, as gran would say" Indigo remarked not feeling very hopeful that they were going to find her. Meanwhile Silver was now laying down on the same log, "Maybe their not gonna come find me" she thought to herself. Feeling sorry for herself. She looked at her watch for probably the twenty-seventh time but it only showed a minute later than it had the last time she looked at it. "Well...I would have thought my friends would have come to look for me by now" she muttered. Disappointed they still hadn't arrived to rescue her. "Looks like im gonna have to find my way back myself then" she added, she thought about what her friends had said before about dinosaurs and felt the fear creep deep into her chest "Maybe Jake was right afterall, I am likely to end up on the menu" she grumbled and lay herself down again feeling alone, scared and frusterated all at the same time. "This isn't going very well," Indigo said stating the obvious. "No, but surely we cant be that far away from where she is" Toby replied, all three of them were starting to get tired as they had been walking around the forest for a long time now. "It's starting to get dark out here." Jacob noticed "Hopefully we find her before we have to set up somewhere to sleep for the night" Indigo stated "She'll be ok, she's probably bored the jungle by now" Toby teased "Bet she's still complaining about her sweater and shoes" Jacob laughed "Probably moaning that we haven't turned up after her too" Indigo pointed out to them. "She's never been one to hold back on the complaining, has she?" Toby reminded. "Nope never" Indigo laughed, Silver was notoriously known for being a complainer. "I hope she's ok though" Jacob admitted. even though they all liked to playfully tease her, they did care about her, just as much as they did each other. "Knowing Silver she's probably just stayed where she is, which is kind of smart" Indigo said "Probably, has anyone thought that we could be heading in the completely wrong direction" Toby unhelpfully pointed out. "The thoughts crossed my mind, yeh', but we need to stay positive and hope this is the right way" Jacob answered. "How far do we test that theory?" Indigo questioned, she hadn't even considered that until now. "So we could get very lost trying to find our lost friend?" she added "The forest is huge Indie so the chances of that becoming the case is incredibly large." Jacob smartly answered. "In answer to the other thing is simply I don't know when we go back the other way." he added. "So, we just carry on," Toby agreed. Hoping they would find Silver soon, so they didn't have to do that.
