"Yeh', it's down to that sweater we're all trapped here in the first place." Toby reminded her.
"It's not the sweater's fault," Silver replied defending her sweater. "I wouldn't need a new one if Robin hadn't ruined it, now, would I"
"Oh, that's right blame the legend, why not? he's not here to defend himself" Toby remarked
"No but he has you, who's got his back" Jacob teased.
"He's a friend and my childhood hero, what can I say" Toby answered.
Chapter Ten
Walking through the big arch way of the castle made Indigo jump with joy, something she had always wanted to do from a really young age, she had always dreamt of doing so, but had never visited a castle that was still in working order, not like this one anyway, the smell of the vegetables from the market filled her nostrils, the shouting for getting your bargains from a lot of the workers, trying to sell their products or mend things, other than the clothes and being within a castle it felt a lot like nowadays back home, as markets still existed even in their day and age.
"Wow" She breathed
"Your saying wow, after we've just met a legend" Toby said beside her
"This is amazing though" she whispered.
"You dreamt about being a princess didn't ya?" he guessed
"No not at all, I wanted to be one of these guys" She admitted pointing to the lady selling fruit to someone.
"What for real?" He asked her taken by surprise.
"Yep' I thought everyone in this era were cool" She replied
"But you didn't think that about Robin?" he asked, she shook her head and smiled apologetically, knowing how much that era had meant to him. "The more I get to you Indi' the stranger you become" he told her, she smiled taking that as a compliment.
"Look at the horses, Wow this is so cool" She gasped, taking in the scene around her, it was just like being on a movie set, the look of everyone and the way she imagined it would feel walking a long side them, she just couldn't believe her luck, "This is amazing" she smiled brightly.
"Everyone else here looks miserable but here you are with the brightest smile known in history" Toby laughed
"Come on, you have to admit this is cool." She replied, he nodded in agreement
"It is, not many people can say they've had this opportunity" he agreed.
Everyone they walked past stopped for a moment to look at them, some with curious looks, some with disgust and some with suspicion.
"Why do they keep looking at us funny?" Silver asked them
"Probably because we look squeaky clean," Jacob answered, "Hey this place has beer" He announced proudly, spotting the area of people drinking.
"Beer? your debating getting drunk, what? Like right now" Silver asked stunned
"It's as good a time as any, not like we don't deserve a drink or two, there's been a lot to take in, you know between dinosaurs, Robin hood and now this, I think we deserve a good strong drink, don't you guys think the same?" Jacob replied
"Actually I do" Toby agreed
"We'll come with you, but I don't want to be drunk here, I want to remember this" Indigo answered
"Indi!" Silver said in protest
"There's no harm in having some fun while were all here, the gates invisible anyway, we will find it we always do" She stated, not in a rush to leave here, she was loving every single second of it.
"I can't believe you guys" Silver stated shaking her head in disgust.
"Your sweater will still be in the shop, when we get back" Toby told her, knowing that was the reason she wanted to get back so soon again.
"What is this you give me" the man with a beard and long dark hair, quite well built demanded to know from Toby, who couldn't seem to think very fast with a comeback, Indigo stepped forward,
"It's real gold" She said looking at the six pound in the man's big hand. "I promise you it is" she said, not really sure if it was or not, but she was trying to be convincing, he was a big guy, who looked like he didn't take kindly to anyone messing him around and knowing Jacob and Toby didn't really have the skills of this era, she wanted to stop any bar fight before it happened.
"You did well then" Jacob told her as they walked to their table with the beers
"Yeah you were" Silver agreed, "Are pound coins gold?" Silver asked
"I have no idea, but lets just say they are just while were here" Indigo replied. They all made themselves comfortable at a table.
"Who would have thought we'd be doing this when we first got here?" Jacob said happy with his beer in his hand.
"Where will we end up next time though? There has to be a reason why were not getting back to the shopping mall." Toby told them.
"Do you reckon it could be the time of day maybe?" Indigo asked
"It's possible, but anything is when this shouldn't be happening in the first place." Jacob said
"I just want to get back to our time, thats all i want" Silver stated.
"Do you think anyone knows were missing yet?" Indigo asked them.
"Depends how time works in here to over there, we won't really know until we get back and none of us even thought to check the time when we did get back the last time" Toby pointed out.
"That's because someone did the disappearing act before any of us had time to think." Jacob reminded them.
"Hey! That was totally unplanned, all i wanted was the shop, not this" Silver answered defending herself.
"Maye when we go back we should just leave the mall" Jacob suggested.
"Definitely" Toby agreed
"But..." Silver started to protest
"But nothing we have to leave the mall when we get back Siv', there isn't really a choice today." Indigo stated.
