THE BEAUTY AND THE BRUTE

Linda ate the apple pie she saw in the kitchen and relished its sweet taste. She opened the fridge to get the chicken out so it could defreeze with time in preparation for dinner before her husband came back. She thought to herself I didn’t leave any snack this morning when I left for work, but i met one before she remembered Donald had called her to tell her he came home to pick up his laptop. he’s definitely the one that bought it.she continued with her house chores ,cleaning the oven, washing the dishes, and arranging the living room. When she was still a little girl, her grandma buys her apple pie whenever she’s grumpy or wants her to do something for her. She calls her pequeño angel(little angel).she’s from a Mexican background and rich in the Mexican culture. Grandma often says, "Who needs an angel when u have my Linda around?" Among all her grandchildren, Linda stood out because of her compassionate nature. She cares for grandma very much till grandma died two years ago. She’s a jovial, funny beauty right from her childhood. Within a few minutes of her eating the pie .She felt a slight stomach ache and shook it off to be nothing until it worsened over time until it became unbearable. She could not think it was what she ate. She became unable to walk as she crouched and held her stomach, which is obviously ineffective to cool the pain and starts to feel unconscious. within a twinkle of an eye, she was on the floor clinging to her dear life. Head pounding, stomach aching badly, her vision became blurred. It was at this time she heard the door open. Her hearing sensory is still okay despite others failing her. She thought to herself it was her daughter she had just finished school. She already took permission for an extra curriculum in her 5th grade. With her blurry vision, she saw a dark shape. The shape looks like that of those in movies where an alien will come down from their spaceship with a very bright light in the background but this image is that of a feminine figure instead of any shape being cooked up in movies she saw the image of the person looks bigger than the size she envisaged her daughter would have. In her heart she was glad whoever it is would definitely help her to the hospital but as the figure came closer it became bigger and bigger until it was some feet nearer and became too late before she saw who it was, she opened her mouth to scream but no audible sound came,she tried running away but it was impossible. Her nemesis has caught up with her. It was like that of a deer being shot by a hunter lying still and unable to move till 'the inevitable’ the hunter catches up with it,to the figure.her life flashing through her eyes both sweet and bad memories all coming to her.tears formed at the side of her eyes began rolling down freely on her cheek.fear had consumed her.this feeling of helplessness was ecstatic to the figure because she went to the mini wine cellar in the living room to pour herself a glass of vodka,she opened the fridge to get ice and sat on the kitchen table while her victim was lying at her feet.The figure moved her right hand to pick something out of her backside,it seems it was kept in the waist of the jeans the figure wore.the figure raised her hand, and held something that looked like a knife, kneeling near where she’s lying in pain. It was a knife! She was very scared at this time as the figure raised the knife up with both hands and brought down with force. it's often said that ones body will kick in action to fight or to run when in danger that’s the adrenaline gland in the body swinging in action. She could do neither, with her last strength Linda shouted Lucy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
