Emily, don't come to regret leaving me
James Blackwood stood before the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, gazing down at the city skyline. His long fingers tapped lightly against the whiskey glass in his hand, ice cubes clinking delicately against the crystal. He turned, his gaze sharp as a hawk's, scanning the luxurious penthouse apartment. The fading sunlight filtered through the glass, casting a golden glow on his chiseled features.
"Divorce?" James scoffed, his voice low and intimidating. "Are you sure about this? Emily, don't come to regret leaving me." His tailored dark gray suit accentuated his tall, imposing figure, while the diamond tie pin gleamed coldly in the soft light. He advanced towards Emily, his posture erect yet emanating an icy aura. Each step exuded an air of absolute control, making Emily feel an overwhelming sense of pressure.
Emily Parker sat on the leather sofa, her slender fingers clutching her handbag tightly. She looked up, her silky blonde hair swaying gently with the movement. Though her face showed signs of fatigue, it couldn't mask her delicate features and elegant demeanor. She felt James's imposing presence as he approached, causing her to hold her breath.
"I won't regret it, Jim," Emily said, her voice soft yet resolute. Her Chanel suit, though expensive, had clearly been worn for several seasons, indicating her slight discomfort with the luxurious lifestyle. She tried to maintain her composure, but her heart raced uncontrollably.
James's brow furrowed slightly, a flash of impatience crossing his eyes. He stood before Emily, his tall figure almost engulfing her. "Three years of marriage, ending just like that?" he asked, his voice tinged with mockery. He leaned in close to Emily; she could smell his expensive cologne mingled with a hint of whiskey.
Emily instinctively shrank back but quickly straightened her spine. Her gaze flitted from James's expensive watch to finally lock onto his eyes. "Three years is enough time to see many things clearly, Jim. Including the problems between us." She struggled to keep her voice from trembling, but her body involuntarily reacted to James's proximity.
James sneered, "Problems? I've given you everything, Emily." His fingers lightly caressed Emily's cheek, feeling her slight shiver. Emily's skin burned at the unexpected touch. "Do you know how many women out there would kill to be in your position right now?"
Emily tried hard not to react to James's touch, but her breathing became more rapid. "Then why don't you go find them?" she said, feigning calm, though her voice carried a barely noticeable tremor. "After all, in your eyes, we're all the same."
James suddenly grabbed Emily's wrist, pulling her up and pinning her against the wall. Emily gasped, her soft body pressed against the cold wall, creating a stark contrast. James leaned in close to her ear, whispering, "Don't be naive, darling. Who do you think you'll be without me? You're nothing without me." His breath brushed against Emily's earlobe, causing her to shudder.
Emily felt James's hot breath and trembled involuntarily. She tried to maintain her composure, but her body unconsciously leaned towards James. She said softly, "Jim, you don't love me." Her voice carried a hint of sadness and disappointment.
Hearing this, James's lips curled into a dangerous smile. His hand slid to Emily's waist, pressing her even closer to himself. Emily could feel James's strong body against hers, her heart pounding so hard it felt like it might burst out of her chest. "Love?" he said in a low, seductive tone, "My dear baby, that's not what you were saying in bed last night."
Emily felt a rush of heat to her lower abdomen, her body trembling slightly. She bit her lip, trying to stay calm: "That's different, Jim. That was just..." Her words were interrupted by her own rapid breathing.
James cut her off, one hand caressing her back, slowly moving downward. Emily's body quivered at the familiar touch.
"Just what? You were calling out that you loved me over and over again." His lips were almost touching Emily's ear, his warm breath making her weak at the knees. "'Jim, I love you, I'm yours forever, please give me everything,' have you forgotten all those words?"
Emily's face instantly turned crimson, both from embarrassment and her body's involuntary response. She could feel James's lips almost touching her ear, making her heart race even faster. She pushed James away forcefully, her voice trembling: "That was just... just a physical reaction. You know that..."
James laughed dismissively, his fingers lightly tracing her collarbone, feeling her shiver. Emily's breathing became more rapid as she tried hard not to make any sound. "Physical? Darling, don't fool yourself. Every reaction, every moan of yours tells me how much you love me." James's voice was deep and magnetic, with a hint of seduction.
"Enough!" Emily almost shouted, but her voice carried a tremor. She could feel her body betraying her reason, responding to James's words and touch. "That's not love, Jim. That's just... desire. You don't understand what real love is."
James's gaze deepened, and he moved closer to Emily again, almost kissing her lips. Emily could feel his hot breath on her lips, and she unconsciously licked them. "Oh? Then tell me, what is love?" His voice was low and magnetic. "Do you think love is nagging like a disgruntled housewife all day?"
Emily felt James's breath on her face, her heart racing, her whole body burning hot. She tried to stay calm, but her body involuntarily leaned towards James. "Love is mutual understanding, mutual respect. Not... not this." Her voice trembled slightly.
James chuckled softly, his fingers slowly sliding down Emily's neck, causing an electric-like sensation. Emily unconsciously tilted her head back, revealing her elegant neckline. "Come on, Emily. Don't act innocent with me. We're both adults, why pretend to be a naive little girl?"
Emily's breathing became rapid, her body trembling slightly at James's touch. She could feel her reason being gradually consumed by desire, but she still tried to stay clear-headed. "You don't understand me at all, Jim. You've never tried to understand me." Her voice carried a hint of choking.
