What my Alpha wants

It was like walking into a sharks tank.  All eyes were on me, all predatory, all ready to jump at there kill. I felt completely exposed. My dark red curls were brought to in a twist at the nape of my neck and my fair skin was flawlessly painted by one of the artists that take up residence near our large estate. My blue eyes were framed with thick dark lashes, and took in the scene before me with absolute terror.  When I woke up this morning, I was Olivia Changeling, aka Olive Changeling, a normal 18 year old girl, taking my finals and getting ready to graduate from Blue Sky Highschool. I had a few friends, none to write home about, but enough to get through each day with a smile on my face. I was never very social, and I hated large groups of people. I was an introvert and that was okay with me. I kept my head down, did well In school and had started to dream of living a fuller life than what my parents had planned. I never thought of myself as pretty, I was small, and fair. I had white enough skin to disappear in a snow storm. My eyes were too big for my face, but they were a nice blue. My mother was absolutely stunning, with tanned, olive skin and green eyes, dark hair and a grace about her I have always envied. My father was handsome, tanned and blond. I swear I was adopted.  Tonight, I would turn 19. And at the stroke of Midnight my life would forever be changed.  I scanned the full room, trying to blend in as I made my way from the back door of the hall to where my parents stood greeting guests.  "Olive, where have you been?" My mother asked me with a tight smile, as she greeted the pot bellied man who came up just as I did.  "I was trying to get into this dress you laid out for me, it is so tight I needed to have Geri paint it on!" Geri had been my nanny since before I was born. Mother had hired her on the moment she found out she was pregnant with me. She had taken care of my every need from the time I was in utero.  "Smile, you are much prettier when you smile" Mother sharply remarked and turned back to greeting the guests that formed a line out the front of the hall and into our grand entrance way. I pasted on a fake smile and nodded at the passing visitors. "Hi hunny, you look absolutely beautiful" my dad leaned over and gave me a quick hug and kiss on the cheek. "Hi dad, thank you" My face fell a bit when I looked from him to my mom, they were so perfect. everything about them was beautiful. I felt like a small, pasty, troll trying to be a princess.  My father was born into money, and my mother married into it. I intern inherited it. My parents believed that I would be a house wife and bear children for my mate, and that's it. nothing else. I had no other purpose than to be mated, knotted, and birth pups. and that would begin tonight. let the bidding begin.  The purpose of this gathering was not a "birthday party" for me, but more of an auction. At midnight I would be old enough to be mated and start my new life of homemaking slavery. Geri told me that years ago, way before my parents were born wolves would find there fated soul mates and cherish them with everything they had. Now it is more of a business arrangement. Soul mates were now a thing of fairy tales and legends. It was something that just did not happen. With so many wolves dying off and not finding there true mates, our kind was depleting at an alarming rate. The panel of elders decided that we would start having arranged mating's to keep our kind from extinction. The Lycan species have flourished since this was decided, and no one has looked back.  Taking one last look at my perfect parents and the long line they were greeting, I turned around and tried to slink away into the very back of the hall, I needed to find a quiet place to breathe. Unbeknownst to me I was walking a straight line into the depths of hell, and to the devil himself.
