933 Words
******* LENA’S POV I entered into my apartment, closed the door and leaned against the wall. Having a sense of hope and determination. This unexpected path might just be the key to my dreams, and i knew i had a lot to think about. The evening had been a meaningful one , and now i needed to process everything. The next morning i woke up to get ready for work. I took a bath and got ready quickly. Wearing a two piece with white shoes. Walking out of the house, i saw a black car parked outside and Ethan was leaning on it. He looked so different, wearing basic clothes unlike what i always saw him in, suits, he still looked good though. "Good morning Lena.” Ethan greeted upon seeing me. “Good morning Ethan.” I responded. " Did you sleep well?” He asked her. “I did.” I replied. “Let me drop you off at work.” He said. He opened up the passenger door for her and she sat then he slowed closed the door. " Have you given a thought to what we talked about last night?" He asked me "Yes,but I do not think I can do it.” I answered. “Why please.” Ethan asked, suddenly stopping the car to face me. “There are other girls out there Ethan, you can choose.” I replied. "I do not want any other person to carry my child. I want you, so please reconsider.” He said staring into my eyes. I knew she could not make this decision alone because it was a hard one , so i decided to talk to Lucy about it later and also maybe my parents when i closed from work. ****** ETHAN’S POV I could not sleep a wink last night after we had that conversation. I kept tossing and turning , my mind racing with thoughts of Lena and our previous conversation. Despite my usual confidence, this situation was different. It was personal, emotional, and carried immense weight for both of us. I had taken a significant step by proposing such a life-altering arrangement, and now i anxiously awaited her decision. As the hours dragged on, i decided I could not just sit and wait. I needed to see Lena again, to reassure her and offer any additional support she might need. As the dawn approached, i dressed casually for once, hoping to appear more approachable and less intimidating. I wanted Lena to see him as a person, not just the business mogul she knew from our previous encounters. I instructed my driver to take a day off so I could drive myself today which he agreed to. I drove my way to Lena’s apartment. Standing by my sleek black car, i felt a mix of anticipation and nerves. I knew this was a pivotal moment, and i was so determined to handle it with care. I thought to surprise her so I did not inform her I was coming or I had plans to drop her off today. When Lena emerged from her apartment, my heart skipped a beat. She looked fresh and determined, and despite the casual setting, she carried herself with the same grace that had first caught my attention. "Good morning, Lena," i greeted, trying to keep my voice steady. “Good morning, Ethan,” she replied, her tone polite but guarded. "Did you sleep well?" I asked, genuinely concerned. “I did,” she responded, though Ethan could sense a hint of hesitation. "Let me drop you off at work," i offered, hoping to use the ride as an opportunity to talk. I opened the passenger door for her and waited until she was seated comfortably before closing it gently. As i got into the driver’s seat and started the car, my mind raced with ways to broach the subject delicately. "Have you given a thought to what we talked about last night?" I asked her, keeping my tone as neutral as possible. Lena’s response was firm but polite. "Yes, but I do not think I can do it.” My heart sank, but i tried to remain composed. “Why, please?” he asked, stopping the car to give her my full attention. “There are other girls out there, Ethan. You can choose,” she replied, her voice steady. I felt a surge of desperation. I leaned closer, my eyes locking onto hers. "I do not want any other person to carry my child. I want you, so please reconsider." I could see the conflict in her eyes, the struggle between her practical concerns and the potential benefits. I knew this was not an easy decision for her, and i respected that. But i also felt an undeniable connection and trust in her that I could not just ignore. As we drove in silence, i vowed to give her the space and time she needed while making it clear that my offer was genuine and unwavering. I hoped that, by showing up and expressing my determination, she would see just how serious i was about this arrangement and reconsider her decision. I dropped her off at work, although my heart felt heavy I was very hopeful. He knew she had to talk to her parents, and he could only hope that they would see the sincerity in my proposal and help her come to a decision that was right for her. As i drove away, i resolved to be patient, understanding that such a monumental decision could not be rushed.
