PROLOGUE
We stood at a dark opening in the forest. But the moon was as big as a dead man’s face, so it allowed the forest to look less creepy.
Me and Roland, my mentor, stood to the opposite of a man
about three years older than me.
He was dark in complexion, built like a woodsman. And the fact that he was naked brought his body more into focus.
Allowing me to swallow loudly. And they were moments like this where i asked myself what wrong i did to to lose such a man in my life.
His hair was pushed back perfectly, and that brought his blue eyes more into focus.
“Joseph, please, you need to stop,” Roland spoke and moved two feet from me.
He was in his early forties. But that didn’t stop him from doing what he did. He had short black hair with some gray in it—signaling the man was getting old. But he had a beardless face, and
that made most people think he was younger than his age.
He wore black trousers and a white long-sleeved shirt. Then completed his look with black shoes that had been once well polished.
But the man he was talking to was a beast. He was never going to listen to him or me, for that matter.
“I gave you everything. But what did you do?” Joseph asked, looking over Roland’s shoulder at me.
“You said no to my proposal,” he passed a hand through his hair in an aggressive manner.
“I said I was not ready for marriage yet. You are just a psychopath,” I spoke and walked to Roland.
I was on the run for two days. I had worn something comfortable.
Leather trousers, a black crop top and black vans. Then I tied my hair into a ponytail.
“I said give me time, but you went all crazy,” I spoke and called to my sorceress powers.
And an orb appeared at the end of my hand.
“Even if you take me down. They will always be someone that will come for you”.
He's sinister face sent a chill down my spine. “My brother will come for you,” he added, and
erupted into his werewolf form.
Yes, that scared me a bit. I didn’t know what he was talking about, or anything about his brother.
But he went crazy after I said no to his marriage proposal. That was the only thing I worried about at the moment.
