CHAPTER 31 After that morning's excitement, they were hungry and went for a quick lunch. Kirsten was subdued. The two men concentrated on Fred's plans to recce Weissenstein's place at Appenzell. He already had a rough idea how to cross the banker's plans. Kirsten had postponed her own visit, she said officiously, to give Fred a chance to do his thing. To Mark, she made it clear that she hadn’t cancelled her date with Rainier, only put it off. Then they split up. She went back to the suite while Mark helped Fred to pack the stuff he needed.
