Liliana         I stared at him in disbelief. "So whatever I do next is going to be my choice? No one will ever hurt me or those girls any more? Why would anyone want to stay in their past? I sure as hell don't want to, it's horrible. If I could forget it honestly I would in heart beat." I whisper those words to myself as I stare off into the waterfall. For the first time in my life I was finally peaceful, no pain from all the beatings or abuse. I feel like I can finally breathe and not worry about consequences. As I'm sitting there thinking and staring off one of Goddesses stands and kneels in front of me snapping her fingers in my face to bring me back to the present. I whipped my head to look at her, she's the vampire goddess I thought to myself as she stared into my eyes like she was trying to figure out something about me. Like a secrete I held within myself. "Child, I am Empusa, the Vampire Goddess. You have more fire and bloodlust in you then you know. I will not be taking your memories from you, as awful as they are, they are still yours. If I were to take them from you, you would not survive what is coming for you. It's not any time soon but it is still coming now that you've been found. You must get past your demons so to say and be the one who stands on top."  I stare into her eyes as they swirl black and red almost hypnotic. She smiles showing me her teeth I gulp because  I can see her fangs. "You will be one to be reckoned with when you're ready. Strong, calculating, determined, fierce for your loved ones, but at the same time compassionate when you have to be. Yes, child you will do nicely for our champion." Standing up she turns to the others, " She is perfect. If we're doing this let us begin so that she can get back to her mate and truly show us what she is capable of. Even my children will have trouble with her!" She throws her head back laughing. "Empusa, we can not be rash about this! If she is the chosen champion then we ALL know what will happen to our children!" Asmodeus states getting irritated that she would say that as boldly as she did.  "Well I know what I want to happen so I agree with Empusa on this one Asmodeus. I know that all of our loyal children who have not turned their backs on us will not be hurt. It pains all of us to know that even one of our children will be hurt, but enough is enough! These acts of violence need to be stopped! They have gone on long enough and I for one am tired and done with it all. If she can be our champion even after everything that she has gone through then I say, let us give her gifts to help her. I know what I plan on gifting her anyways." Hecate chuckles as she stares Asmodeus down. He throws his hands in the air, "Fine damn it! " he scoffs at Empusa and Hecate shaking his head. Rillifane and Aine look at each other smiling. They stand and walk up to me holding out their hands for me to take. Asking the silent question for me to walk with them in their eyes as they look down at me. I look from their faces to their hands, lost not knowing what I wanted to do. Finally I stand up and tentatively take their hands. We walk over to the edge of the pond by the weeping willow. I look out over the pond its beauty and calmness surrounding me. Aine coughs slightly to get my attention. I turn to them both so that they know they have my full attention. "We want to know what you think of all this so far my child. You were put in a situation that was not in your control. You never should have been there in the first place child. For that I am truly sorry. So this is one of my gifts to you.." She placed her hand on my check, " I, Aine the Goddess of the Fairies, gift to you healing and light. With this you can heal yourself and those who you choose to help. Light to destroy the shadows and darkness that is coming." As she spoke I felt calm and peaceful then something inside me burst to life. My whole body started to glow and shine a brilliant blueish white. I stared in astonishment not knowing what to do or to say. Slowly the glow disappeared I looked up in wonder at her. "Why did you do that? Why am I even here? Why didn't any of you try to save me or intervene for me? Why were we all left to suffer?" I asked her generally curious because in my mind I didn't deserve any gift after what I had went through and all the others who had suffered just as I had. I was so lost in my own mind that I didn't know if I deserved anything. Tears slowly slide down my face as I looked at her.  "My child." Rillifane started to say as he wiped the tears from my checks. "You deserve so much more then what you have been given. We tried to stop our way word children, but they have long closed their hearts and minds off to us. You are the strongest of my children. Please do not cry it saddens me a great deal to see your tears. I give you the gifts of peace and tranquility. You shall have the grace of a goddess. Wisdom of the stars to back you and the pose of a true Queen." He cupped my checks and brought his lips to my forehead placing a gentle kiss on it. Closing my eyes I felt a calming sensation to the storm that were my emotions and insecurities. He stepped back and for the first time I smiled at him. I have no idea what these gifts are for yet but once I'm no longer lost within myself I know that I'll know what to do with them. Aine takes my hand gently in hers as she leads us back over to the group of other gods and goddesses.  "Well I think that I will give you my gift now child." Empusa walks over to me holding her hand over my heart she says, "I gift you the gift of speed. You will never be caught by evil again. I gift you the gift of sight so that your enemies can never fool  you. I also gift you the gift of mind. You will know what others think. Use these gifts wisely my child and trust in yourself as I do." A red and black glow flowed from her to me in an instant I saw the stars, the past, the present, and briefly the future. I wept silently as I saw a little girl and boy playing together. My knees started to shake as if they were going to buckle underneath me. Empusa stepped back and Asmodeus stepped forward. "I gift to you the shadows. You can slip away from danger and go anywhere where there is a shadow. Nothing will be to  much for you to handle. Use this with care though, it could come with a high price if used wrong." Shadows swarmed all around me wrapping themselves around me and then settled in my shadow on the ground. Atargatis glided over to me next. "I gift to you the gift of the sea. You will be able to control water and the sea life. Calling them all to your aid should you find that you need it." A bubble of water floated over my head and popped. When the water hit me I could smell the ocean and see all the animals swimming in the sea. Laughter bubbled out of my mouth as I saw a baby seahorse trying to catch up to its father. Hecate walked over next, "My gift to you is the ability of protection. No spell or charm will effect you or harm you. They will bounce off of you. I also gift to you the gift of levitation." She winked at me as a purple glow surrounded me lifting me into the air. As I was still in the air Angelos held her hands out and said, "I gift to you the gift of air. You can call the wind to tear anything out of your way. I also gift to you the knowledge and strengths of a true warrior. None shall beat you." A white light hit me in the chest as wind swirled me around in circles. The light scorched at my mind and muscles. The wind sat me down gently in front of Selene. She looked at me smiling, gently she tucked a piece of hair back behind my ear. "I gift to you the love that you were denied. The one who will make you whole and help to restore you. I gift you the hope and innocence you were robbed of. You are our champion child. Trust those that are placed in your corner now and forever." She leaned over and kissed my cheek and then stepped back. Bahamut strode over to me, "My child, I gift to you the courage of a dragon to face anything and everything. I gift to you the ability to control fire at your fingertips. To have that fire burn in your heart for you and for others who have been wronged. To stand and fight for what is right." Red flames shot out of his hand and danced around me in circles. As suddenly as they appeared, they disappeared as well. A warmth that I have never felt before filled me up starting from my toes going all the way up to my head. It settled in my stomach. I smiled from the warmth looking at all the gods and goddesses. Aine stepped forward as the others stepped back. I looked at her as she held her hands up over her head. Starring straight into my eyes she said, "I gift to you earth. You can control the very grass in which you stand on. Trees will bend to your will as will all the animals on land. I gift to you the ability to freeze. None will be left standing from your wrath to rid the world of all the evil." The other gods and goddesses surround me in a circle with their hands raised in the air above their heads. Their voices raise higher into the sky as they all say, "YOU ARE OUR CHAMPION. You fight for us. You are our sword to fight the evil in the world. You can not be killed by this evil." A rainbow of color surrounded me as they chanted that over and over when finally the color went inside me. One by one the gods and goddesses disappeared from sight. Aine and Rillifane were the only ones left standing in front of me. I looked at them and asked, "What is going to happen now?" Rillifane and Aine laughed as they lead me to the edge of the pond again. I looked in awe of my reflection. My hair had changed its color from white to black with white, blonde, brown, red, silver, purple, and blue highlights all through out it. My eyes were the color of the rainbow now shimmering with a brightness I had never seen before.  "My precious child, the last gift I give to you is health. Your body is fully healed and you and your mate will have many children who will carry all of the gifts that were bestowed on to you. All you have to do to get back to your body is lay in the pond and close your eyes." Aine said stoking my hair as she looked at me. "I don't know what I want to do. You say that my body is fully healed but I know that I'm still broken inside my heart and mind. Can't I stay here?" I ask them both. Rillifane shakes his head no as he answers. "Aine let me talk with her in private my dear." She looks between us and disappears from sight.  "My child, unfortunately you can not stay here as much as I would love for that. You have a destiny that you must fulfill. There are those who miss you and care for you deeply already that you must get back to. I know that you are scared my child. But trust in those that we have put in your path now. Trust in us as we have put our trust, love, confidence, and faith in. You will never be alone again my child. We will always be there to watch you and help you when you need help. It's time for you to wake up my dear. Step into the pond and listen with your heart of hearts. Let it guide you back to where you are wanted and needed now." I stare at him deciding  what to do. I slowly walk into the pond and lay down closing my eyes. Blackness surrounds me as I float.
