Chapter 13

[BRIANNA's POV] "So what now?" I asked him, staring at those sunken blue eyes and swollen red lips of his. He was smirking up to the sky, the dimples on the sides of his mouth slowly appears. "What if I'm already in love with you?" He didn't reply to me right away. He was still busy watching the stars and the moon gleaming above us with complete fascination as I silently watch him from where I lay next to his warm sweaty body. I shift to my side, ignoring the stabbing pain on the side of my stomach, and admired his gorgeous profile. I don't care if he doesn't respond to me, I don't think I really need his answer at all. He doesn't have to love me back right away. I know. "I don't know," Finally, I heard him whispered back through the deafening silence and I held my breath to hear the next thing he would say. "I don't f*****g know what's next," he ended with a heavy sigh just as he turns to look at me in the eyes. He was smiling mischievously and the way he stared at me already answered all of my questions. Just that gaze alone, searing, piercing, beautiful, dangerous... Taunting. It gave everything away. "You should have thought of that before you dragged me here with you," I whispered to him, just when I pulled him by his shirt towards me. I looked straight to his eyes, the blue eyes that made me see what I wanted to see... "Will you still push me away?" I asked him in a daring tone. "Not when you grip me like this," he smirked. "Then good," I said, smiling up to him, placing my nose against his, "Cause I'm not letting you go that easy." -------------------- [KENT's POV] I stared right into her eyes. This moment was just so real, I grabbed the opportunity to do what I had really wanted to f*****g do since the moment I saw her parked her car in front of Damon's. I kissed her. The sensation of her soft lips and soft skin beneath my hands as I gripped her waist made me moan in pleasure. This was the taste I've been craving so much for the past few days since the night I took her. "You're too much," I heard her murmuring through the kiss as I reached up to tangle my fingers through her smooth curls. And then I grabbed her head, pulling her closer as I delved down to taste more of her luscious mouth and sweet cherry taste. She's already gasping but I didn't stop. I was so crazy and insanely addictive to even stop, I was falling again and her smell and the way she moans against my lips brought the primal side of me. "Kent..." she whispered, gasping again as she tries to pull away. I instantly missed her warmth the moment she pushed my chest to breathe. "I want you," I told her, not tearing my gaze off her face. Her cheeks have gone red and she's taking deep breaths as she cups my cheeks. "Not here," she said, looking away. Obviously, sounding a bit shy. "I know," I slowly moved back to lie down again. "Not until I'm sure you're safe." "Kent... Who are those guys? Why are they trying to hurt you?" I turned to glance at her and found her looking at me with worried eyes. "They want to kill me." "What?" She sat up, looking down at me. "Why?" I reached up to touch her face and gently brush my fingers on that adorable frown of hers. "Because I did something bad to them." "How bad?" "Bad enough for them to be hungry for my blood," I smirked. "Kent... This is not a joke. I'm worried." "You're concerned?" I sat up beside her, smiling at her sweet face. "Angel, don't worry. I could take care of myself." "But..." "Come on, I'm taking you home now," I cut her off, moving to stand as I tried not to wince on the stabbing pain against my back. Damn, those fuckers really did a number. I might need another dose of painkillers after this. Angel just looks up at me, staring at my face with a scowl. "What if they're still there?" she asked. "I'm calling Ian to give us a ride," I said to her just as I took my phone out, dialing the number quickly. Ian answered in the first ring. "Knight." "Where are you?" "Just with the guys. Where are you?" I could hear faint rap music in the background. "Need a ride. The assholes chased us. I left my bike at the gas station. Pick us up at the vacant lot near the convenience store." I told him, hanging up without waiting for an answer. I looked down at Angel again and saw her staring from afar. "Come on up," I said to her, offering my hand, "Brad's going to pick us up here." "That's it?" she told me as she takes my hand to slowly get up. I gave her my side so she could lean on it. "You kiss me and that's it again?" I silently chuckled at her. My Angel acts so feistily when she gets disappointed. "Why? Do you want to go further here?" She slapped me on the arm and swatted me away, "I hate you." she grumbled angrily. "No," I disagreed, pulling her to my chest. "You love me." ----------------- [KENT's POV] "Don't do that," she suddenly said to my eyes. "Do what?" I asked her, but I already knew why she was annoyed as hell. "Making me fall again," she told with a sad look, "I can't do it. It had ruined me so bad the first time." I sharply inhaled, pulling her closer again until our noses touched. "Angel, I can't let you go away now." She stared into my eyes. Her innocent face, captivating me once again. I smiled as I hear her gulped. "What?" "You're mine." And because the temptation taunts me once more, I kissed her. And this time, I was determined to make her feel what she makes me feel. ----------------------------------- [BRIANNA's POV] No matter how many times I've warned myself not to let this asshole get to me, here I am still. Doing the wrong thing. Making myself go foolish and give in to what he does to me. But what can I do? He was doing this deliberately to get me enslaved by his piercing eyes. I can't let myself out even if I tried hard to go and never get back here again. And here I was... kissing this guy again. And I can't stop. "Knight." A voice pulled us apart and I quickly looked down to wipe the remnants of blush in my face. I already know who the voice was, even without looking. It was Kent's friend, Ian. This guy really had a bad sense of timing... in retrospect. "Come on," I heard Kent muttered to me as if his friend hadn't just walked in on us. And without looking back at him I walked towards the direction of his friend, ignoring the hand that barely touched my arm as I pass him by. I couldn't do this now. The drive to my house was eerily quiet. I could feel Kent's gaze burning me through the rearview mirror as I try not to notice it while I look out of the window from the backseat of Ian's car. "Here you go, miss." Ian breaks the silence when he pulled by the front of our driveway. I moved to open the car door on my side but it was locked. "Aren't you letting me out?" I asked Kent's friend, trying to sound domineering. And he just gave me a noncommittal shrug as he gave Kent a glance. "Wait," Kent said to me as he swiftly gets off the car to move towards my side. He opens the door for me and takes me gently by my arm. "Let me go," I softly uttered to him while I slowly stood up, enduring my bruise, to walk away. But Kent closed the door behind me and helps me to walk to our house front door beyond my half-hearted protests. "Leave now," I told him once we finally stood at the front porch. "Not until we're okay." "I'm not going to do this," I grumbled back. "Brianna, look at me," he moved his face so that our eyes meet. "I won't let you go unless you say we're okay." "Why won't we be okay?" I sneered back, crossing my arms as some sort of protective gesture, "Of course, we're fine. Tomorrow, it will be just like nothing had happened. We didn't get chased off, we didn't lie on the grass. We didn't almost die... we'll go back to pretending." That last word earned me a smirk from him. "This is not funny, Knight." "I want to kiss you again," he says and I gaped at him. "What the hell do--" I haven't had the chance to end my sentence because he had moved to put his mouth against mine for the third time. The moment was too startling that I had already opened my lips to welcome his tongue, devouring my taste as I try not to give in to the temptation. But damn, this trouble is so hard to resist. "You're mine, Angel," he whispered so tenderly to me just after he pulled away, staring deeply into my eyes. I couldn't breathe for a second and I was drowned by the depth of his blue gaze. "And I'm not going to let anyone hurt you. Not as long as I am here. Good night." He leaves a chaste kiss on my forehead before he turns to walk back to the car. I watch him with my heart still beating erratically from what just happened. IN JUST WITH THOSE WORDS, I've gone from hating him to falling in love with his bad bad side. And now... I can't undo this love anymore. I wish I could be much stronger than I should be because I knew that this too good to be true feeling won't really last that very long. And boy... little did I know.
