Being level headed was what Rosetta prided herself on the most, that and the fact that being so damn smart is a blessing on its own. So why was she marching to catch up with Julianne and Nathaniel, what exactly would she gain from a confrontation after all these years. She paused midstep and steeled herself against such rash emotions. She chided herself why was she behaving like a total airhead she had brains and it was time to put it to good use. Rosetta let her energy slowly drift from her body scoping and searching for her friends and sister. She found her friends but still couldn't find her sister. Suddenly out of the blue another energy brushed against hers, immediately she panicked and withdrew her energy to safe inside the confines of her body. She followed the directions she got and quickly found her friends. Turning around to look out into the crowd she saw a mop of black hair hurrying over to where she was a few moments ago. Breathing a sigh of relief she ventured further into the sea of people until she found Nicholas and Liliana in the living room cuddled up on the sofa eating more of the pizza he brought in early. She made her way over to them and dropped right on top of them. They both groaned, "Move your fat ass off my leg you big oaf!" exclaimed Nicholas. "Speaking of fat I've realized your abs have gone missing." Rosetta teased. Nicholas faked gasped at the jab Rosetta made to his physique while the girls laughed at his reaction and Rosetta's teasing. She settled between them and instantly felt better, there's nothing better like familiarity which brings peace. They spent the rest of the night laughing, talking and eating. In between the fun with her friends Rosetta had to pause a few times to accept congratulations. At one point Nicholas left to play beer pong and was later reported to have passed out after winning his 23rd match for the night. Lucky he decided to use one of the many guest rooms downstairs before embarrassing himself. The girls did the the usually gossiping, rating party goers clothes and dancing coming back from one of their many dances they bumped into Nathan. His chocolate brown eyes lit up at the sight of Rosetta, who he was blatantly checking out without hiding it. Liliana poked Rosetta on her side and whispered in her ear as she passed to leave them alone, "Drool worthy." As Liliana passed him, he shaked his head clearing his thoughts. "Congrats, Rosetta I mean wow it's like becoming a billionaire or something for whoever wins that thing!" "Yeah thanks Nathaniel." He smiled at her, "Please call me Nathan." She looked at him, his mop of a brown hair sat messily on his head while his brown eyes stayed glued to her face. He was wearing beige pants and a button up white shirt his sleeves we're currently rolled up to his elbows. "Sorry, when we got the message that you won and your sister was throwing a party I was in a meeting with Julie. No time to change and all that. I didn't want to be late." Nathaniel explained. "Julie!...oh you mean Julianne?" Rosetta asked slightly terrified of the answer she'd get for the clarification on nickname. "Yeah, she's my girlfriend. We're not really telling person's yet but I figured since you two are friends why not." Such a caring guy. Am I right?!? Not now! "Why not what?" Came a voice from behind Rosetta. Rosetta tensed upon hearing Julianne's voice. Speak of the she-devil and it appears. Rosetta chuckled at what the voice said feeling a slight bit better for having a someone on her side even it's a voice in her head. "Hey babe, I was just telling Rosetta how we heard about her party and got here." Nathan replied and moved closer to his girlfriend. She didn't miss the slight movement however subtle it was. What she did catch was the eyebrow raise and smirk playing at Julianne's lips. "Oh yes. We were meeting with my parents at Gibrele's and there we were at this seven star hotel and restaurant in the VIP area when Nathan got the invite to your party. I mean I was obviously invited too being your best friend and all why wouldn't I come along." The words left a nasty feeling in her ears. How she wanted to tell Julianne to go shove it, but being the good kid was a habit so she swallowed her pride and got ready to put on a performance of the evening. "Oh, did you have a chance to meet Stephen Gibrele and Kirana Gibrele. They are so nice." She said with a small smile on her face. "No way. You know the head chef and owners of the hotel and restaurant, wow Rosetta that's awesome but we couldn't meet them shame really." Julianne glared furiously at Rosetta and made sure she noticed, how dare her try to up show her in front of her boyfriend! "They're old family friends, next time if we meet up there I'll introduce you. You should definitely try there flaming fillet mignon with chive butter recipe it's mouthwatering." Julianne hated how influenced Rosetta was, why does she have to flaunt it in my face every time we meet, thought Julianne. In the corner of her eye she saw someone passing by with a drink in their hand. She smirked to herself as her plan formulated. Rosetta was busy discussing recipes with Nathan, a total normal thing to do at a party; the hairs on her arm Rose to a slight shift in the atmosphere. Someone's using, Red. I know, but not in large amounts just a little bit. Probably nothing to worry about. Rest now. Fine, but if anyth-.. I know. You'll be the first to know. "Rosetta, can you hear me?" She slightly shaked her head and re-focused on Nathan. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Just spaced for a second." "I don't blame you I mean there's a lot going on in your life right now." "I'll sure say." That was Julianne's voice, the two completely forget she was standing there, which gave her ample time to redirect the drink holder closer to Rosetta for her plan to take action. "Right. I mean just imagine Cigam Ymedaca it's really a dream come true.." 3 "...just think by the time we reach there your a second year..." 2 "...and you'll show us all the great places to hang out and stuff." 1 "We'll be friends in high school and college, isn't that great!" Splash!! "Yep, totally babe." Julianne said then started laughing at Rosetta who had a drink spilled all over her. Nathan stared wide eyed at Rosetta's person. "Rose are you alr-.." Before Nathan could inquire about Rosetta's state, Julianne pulled him away before she left though she still had one nasty comment left to make. "Thanks for inviting us for the party Rose, it was a splash." She left with Nathan chortling all the way through the crowd and out the door. Rosetta was standing there soaked in what smelt like alcohol, with her makeup ruined and just being humiliated in front of her crush and fellow classmates. You should have called me, look at it this way you'll be going to a new school so screw these insects, Red. Thanks.
