I felt my phone buzz in the purse on my thighs, I pulled it up, finger flipping open the tiny lock, the gadget still buzzed insistently. I took it out of the purse. It sounded urgent. My eyebrows furrowed. Lucien caught my eye, I tilted my phone so he could see I needed to take a call. He nodded, nudging me to go ahead.
