Chapter 18 – Martha has another stroke

POV
Last night had gone better than I expected it would. Anna was amazing, she really is a special little girl. Dinner with Jess and Anna had been amazing, it felt like we were a real family.
Coming home to a family waiting for you made me feel whole, it made me realize that I was missing in my life. Anna’s tears when she thought I had left last night tugged at my heart strings. She cried because she did not see me sleeping beside her. she has met me only two weeks ago and she already missed my presence. It filled my heart with a feeling with which I was not familiar.
I could not help but think back on the conversation Anna and I had last night. I let out a chuckle to myself.
