The sun was high and bright, shining down on my face. I could see the leaves rustling in the breeze as the steady flow of the stream could be heard behind me. I took a deep inhale, pleased to be outside in the freshness. I let out the breath, and took in another. I did it again and again, until I realized that I could smell nothing of the outdoors.  The sun that shone on me so brightly did not warm my face. There was no wind I could feel against my skin that would cause the leaves to move. ‘How impossibly odd,’ I thought to myself. A beautiful scene, but no sensations to go with it.  I looked around the small clearing, trying to make out where I was. It wasn’t a place I had ever been before.
