Emily’s POV
“Mom…” Jack screams out running towards his mom as Alex and Cassie walk inside the house with flowers and bags in their hands. Hugging her by her legs, he questions, “Why are you so late? What are in these bags?” He questions looking into the bags his mother is holding and starts jumping seeing his favorite packets as Cassie opens the bag to show him.
“Thank you, mom.” He gasps, kissing her and taking one of the packets, and running back to me. “Well, you should thank Alex, he got them for you.” And, all the attention coming towards me goes away to his soon-to-be dad. With the biggest smile, he turns around.
