Mia is a young woman who is searching for love, but has been repeatedly heartbroken. One night, she hears a strange noise in the woods and comes across a mysterious man named Lucas, who she is immediately drawn to despite his wild and dangerous air. What she doesn't know is that Lucas is a werewolf bound by an ancient curse that prevents him from ever truly loving anyone. As Mia and Lucas grow closer, they must navigate the dangers of the curse and find a way to break it, even if it means sacrificing themselves to do so.

Chapter One: Mia's POV
"Mia! Mia! Mia!" My mom screamed down the stairs from the kitchen. "Ouch! I hate weekends in this family." "Yes, Mom," I responded. "Mia, we would be having a family vacation trip, so go upstairs and get your stuff ready." "What the hell, Mom?" "I was never informed. How could you? I have to attend the cheerleaders meeting by 4 pm." "Well, I guess we'll be long gone halfway on our trip to the California cabin for our holiday. Besides, it's just for the weekend. Your team will understand that you had to." The phone rang. "For f**k's sake, Reya, pick the goddam phone." "Hey, b***h!" she screamed into my ears. "For f**k's sake, Reya, when are you going to stop screaming? You're 17 for hell knows sake." "Well, who cares?" "Well, I do, bitch." "Fine, fine. So, what does Princess Reya get a call from Cinderella for? Let me guess, you've lost your shoes and Prince Charming is in a hunt for you?" "Shut up!" "Well, about the rehearsal today. I won't be attending." "Why?" "You're the cheerleaders, for f**k's sake." "Well, my mom called for an impromptu California cabin trip for the weekend. I just hope this isn't about my stepdad anymore." "Well, that sucks." "I know. So, you cover in for me, bitch." "As if I had any other choice." "See ya." Hump^^ Time to get my baggage packed for a weekend California cabin trip ?? Cut cut cut. Now, I guess you're wondering how all these came into play. Well, my name is Mia Alexander. I'm 17 and an only child to my dad, but I guess the eldest to my mom's bunch of stepchildren. Actually, it's not a bunch, just a set of twins: a boy and a girl, Alec and Valentine Rodrigo. I guess we are of the same age range, but I never cared to ask, so I don't give a f**k ?. Papa died when I was 15 on his way to the Alpha's party. Don't go guessing, but I had to despise anything that had to do with Alpha. I guess that's why my grades sucked like those of an Omega or Beta…. My sign is Aquarius. If you're like my besties, also known as my "b***h sister" Reya, you know that. Reya came into the picture when I was 5. Dad took me to a funfair, and I met a girl whose tongue could set the ocean ablaze. We clicked when both our parents went to get us cotton candy. She was Nozy, and I got to know we lived three blocks apart and had the same babysitter. Isn't that too much for kids who were 5??? Well, we grew up from sleepovers to party nights and finally family hood. We are both seniors at high school. We're cheerleaders and assistants. I'm f**king into wolves, anime, novels, and fantasies. Most people call me weird or a psychopath, but don't dare when Reya is there unless you want to visit the sick bay. She's outgoing, cliché, and an extroverted b***h. Mia's Mom POV: When does she ever accept the fact that Alexander is dead and she has to move on and accept Rodrigo? I know it's been hard for her and me, too, but we have to strive hard and make our lives worth living and make the dead proud that we're still living our lives at our best. And the Alphas have to have something up their sleeves for killing another pack's alpha, or could it be because Mia won't be there to take Alex's seat? Well, I knew what I was getting into when I married him, and we swore not to get our children involved with it. Don't call me bad, but I will have to die with the fact that I just want my baby girl to have the best life at her prime. Well, I'm hoping this trip will build her bond with the twins and also get her out of the misery she's trying to indulge in. She just has to open her heart as wide as her eye sight and know that Rodrigo isn't here to replace Alex but to fill our empty void. I know we're both hurting. Mia!" her mom exclaims. "We are leaving in the next 20 minutes." "Yes, momma, almost done," Mia replies. As she walks down the stairs, her mom observes, "And here she comes down the stairs. She looks 19, but she's just 17." "Cinderella, go into the kitchen," her mom instructs. "You will see some chicken and rice dumplings I made." "Okay, mum," Mia says. Her mom continues, "So about college, where are you planning, and have you started your music audition practice with your music teacher? You know we have to get in through the scholarship so we can kill two birds with a stone." "Mom, I know," Mia says. "We have to get in through the scholarship so I can get my music and you can get the academics. I've always wanted to be more of an obstetrician/gynaecologist, but she's always wanted music." "Mom, I'm done with the dumplings," Mia interrupts. "Right on time, baby," her mom says. "The cab is here to take us to the airport." "Let me help you with the luggage, Cinderella?" her mom offers. "No, mom," Mia says. "I will be turning 18 soon. I need no pampering, and please can you drop calling me Cinderella? I am not 4 anymore." Her mom responds, "Well, you will always be my baby, so you will be my Cinderella not until the prince charming comes and takes you away from me into the unknown." Mia thinks to herself, "Ouch. How I hate talking about all these fairy tales. Well, I guess like Frozen said, 'into the unknown,' but now it's into the unknown with my mom on a weekend trip to California." As she puts on her sunglasses and earbuds, Mia listens to "Sia's Unstoppable" and thinks, "I just pray I win this game my mom is trying to play. Well, I don't get to hate the game, I hate the player, but I can't hate my mom. Deep down, I love her, but I just can't tell her, not with my absurd ego who cares." The cab driver says, "Ma, we're at the airport." Mia's mom says, "Thank you." The driver continues, "Don't get me wrong with your nasty thoughts. I was just being polite and had to compliment. Besides, I didn't say it out loud for him to hear." Mia's mom says, "Mia, wait!" Mia thinks to herself, "And now I have to receive a lecture on how to stick together so I don't get lost like I did when I was 8." Her mom continues, "You don't always have to leave me behind. What if you get lost?" Mia responds, "Mom? What am I, 8?" At the airport, Mia gets a seat by the window and has to listen to Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" on repeat until their flight departs in 15 minutes. As the flight takes off, Mia thinks to herself, "Well, I guess that means more concentration on my phone and my earbuds stuck till we arrive." Once they arrive in California, Mia will continue to face challenges, but she will also grow and learn to navigate.
