Chapter 3 – How a Yandere Loves
* * *
“I’m sorry, but I’m seriously busy so we better keep this conversation short.”
Right off the bat! Daisy surely has no patience when it comes to people other than me. Besides our parents, I never saw her act accordingly toward other human beings. It somehow made me think that this friend of mine has some loose screws in the head.
Hope couldn’t even react as she was supposed to do as she absorbed the fierceness of the younger woman before her.
Truthfully, I found her attitude amazing and lovable at first, but the level of her toxicity rose as we aged. We had already reached the point when not even simple greetings from other women could pass her way. It wouldn’t be an understatement to say that I need to expect an even bigger explosive when she reaches the age of majority.
Just the thought of it made me want to piss on the spot.
“W-Well, I’m the same. I’m in my third year now and am a lot busier compared to a second year like you. Don’t lift your head so much in front of your senior. It doesn’t fit you that well!”
What nonsense. As if Daisy will accept that bull. She had always been one hard egg to c***k, and this kind of reasoning is just a load full of crap for her. Not even once did I see her entertaining the possibility of accepting those words.
More importantly, I could easily tell from the crevice on the door leading to the rooftop that Daisy was starting to hate their current setup. She had this obsessive-compulsive behavior in maintaining her schedule and it never included entertaining another person like Hope. I hate to say this, but this situation always ended on a bad note, especially since their conversation was about me.
Not that I think too much of myself, but there is only one thing that can easily trigger Daisy’s animosity. It was when someone came between us, creating a gap in the future that she had long drawn in her mind.
Scary. Seriously scary. I once questioned Daisy about her behavior, but she only answered that it was nothing but her true and waning love for me. If this is how true love works, then all I could do is that I’d better pack up my bag and run as far and fast as I can.
After all, there is no doubt that Daisy would soon lock me down inside my room, letting her be the only one to gaze upon my existence.
Shoot. That thought alone sent a thousand shivers down my spine. I can’t imagine being in a relationship with a woman that I consider my sister. Worst, I can’t see myself being locked in a room as she hand-fed me in my entire life.
“If that’s all you want to say then let’s stop this. Life is too short to be wasted on a worthless piece of trash like you.”
Aww. That hurts, I know. Who would want to be referred to as such anyway? Even I could see myself crying somewhere after hearing that remark. Daisy is being a naughty child once again, and I couldn’t help but be disappointed deep within my heart.
“What the?! How dare you? If you want to talk that way, then so be it. I’ll get straight to the point. Stop harassing Dane. That poor man doesn’t deserve your obsession. Go find someone else who could match your-“
My eyes opened wide at the next turn of events. Hope was unable to complete her retort since Daisy already jumped on her. She pinned her to the ground, making the woman unable to move.
She is sitting on top of her while her feet are keeping Hope’s arms to the ground. She may not look like it, but Daisy has a blackbelt in Karate. I swear I regretted it when I asked her why she needed to take that lesson since my friend proudly announced that she wanted to be strong in order to protect me.
It should have been the other way around! That moment made me want to forget my identity as a man since I was nothing but a bookworm since childhood.
Daisy, on the other hand, did not just excel in academics but also in all other areas of life. If not for her character, then she could have been labeled as a perfect student her age. What a waste!
“Stop? Who dares to give you permission to make me stop? Did you ever feed me? Are you the reason why I was born in this world? Supported my wants, needs, and desires? Ever sacrificed herself for my benefits – NO!...”
My palm turned sweaty when she pulled Hope’s handkerchief, then proceeded to shove it down the latter’s mouth. Only a plank separates the three of us, making me easily see the fear drawn on Hope’s face. Little by little, sparkling tears fell from her eyes, signifying how fearful Daisy’s presence was.
She helplessly wriggled, wishing that she would be able to run away from my friend, but Daisy only stomped on her arms. That sure was painful from the looks of it since Hope’s reaction needlessly showed it on her face.
“…I don’t give a damn about the entirety of the human populace as long as I have Dane. You better know who you are trying to run paths with in this life if you don’t want to shorten your already insignificant time in this world. Do you understand?”
Daisy pulled a pen from her skirt. Without saying another word, she raised her hand and stabbed it down Hope’s eyes.
My heart almost jumped off my chest at that image. I instantly reached out for the doorknob, praying that it wouldn’t be too late before I reached them. I almost tripped when I hastily opened the door and ran to their location.
Thankfully, no bloodshed could be seen after I reached their location. Daisy was only smiling crazily as she looked at Hope. The latter’s eyes were tightly closed, probably praying the same thing that I do. I never had a good impression of this woman, but I could somehow sympathize with her after witnessing Daisy’s craziness.
“Are you done? It’s almost time for class, so you better hurry up if you don’t want to be late.”
I helped Daisy to get up, played it cool, and did not do anything for Hope. She might be the victim here, and leaving her alone would be too harsh, but that is the best that I could offer in this situation.
After all, helping her would only trigger another animosity within Daisy. Who knows? Maybe this time, she wouldn’t be kind enough to stop herself from stabbing the poor Hope.
She might be a lunatic in an angel’s form, but I still care for her as my little sister. There is no way that I would let this young woman be wasted just because of her quirks and a little insanity.
As to how I would be able to do it while escaping her grasp, maybe even the gods above wouldn’t be able to give me an answer to do that dilemma.
